  1. Hi All Does anyone own one, had a look at them on line seem to be ok, I liked the idea of having a tipping trailer fitted to the chassis, not sure whether its a bit of a gimmick though:confused1:. thanks in advance Dermot
  2. I stand corrected the old machine was a Kholer, I had an old gravity fed Entec which had pull start B&S vanguard engine was a killer to start
  3. Sorry mate I misunderstood:001_tongue: Makes sense I guess, one one of the thing's I found though with old petrol machines was that the stress control didnt seem to kick in fast enough if you were chipping wet mulchy leaves or conifer. But the 125 is far more responsive and it seems to cope far better than its predecessor. giving the machine a chance to clear debris before more material comes through
  4. Company I used to work for had a Brigs and Stratton on it from new its a good few years ago mind you
  5. No need to need to be obnoxious. The Chipper is effectively the same as the TW150 same feed hopper etc but with a 20 hp Honda seems to perform much better than the old B&S engine that was on the yellow entec's. Only my opinion mind but have been chipping conifer for several days and hasn't blocked once,
  6. It has to be the TW, just collected my new 125 2 weeks ago and I love it terrific chipper TW have sorted out the old problem of it blocking on wet conifer, I have used GM in the past and was quite disappointed. Im chipping into the back of my ranger and all seems to be working well.
  7. Hi all Anyone had problems with fuel getting from the tank to the fuel filter on these machines. The chipper has 4 hours done was working fine all day and last thing this evening we started it and its just not getting fuel. Ive tried blowing down the fuel line to get the fuel to flow and it works for a moment then stops. HELP!
  8. Hi All Anyone got any suggestions on what size tirfor I should go for, want something that will be up to large fells but not tooooo!! heavy to handle. And also where I could get one. Cheers D
  9. Thanks for that sounds like a plan, Im guessing the bigger the hinge the better, its always tricky though when their dead they just seem to sheer off regardless il take some pics of the aftermath )
  10. Hi Guys We have this bloody big dead beech to straight fell, Its properly mushy been standing dead for several years. we can climb the neighbouring tree to put a pull line in it. but has anyone any thoughts on the best way to tie the pull line into it baring in mind the top half is liable to snap out when the tractor moves forward? cheers
  11. I have a 2050 Jonsered with a 13 inch bar, Ive had it for 7 years never does a huge amount of work but starts every time and is lovely and light. cost me 350 quid new
  12. Thanks a lot. That sounds sensible its one of the reasons I like the 361 so much is thats it is fairly light saw but still has plenty of grunt. maybe ill have to go over to the dark husky side
  13. Probably a stupid question but has the MS441 replaced the MS440?
  14. is the 372 the same as the 44?
  15. Hi All I have a 361 great saw but its getting a bit tatty been going for a few years now, should I replace with another or go up the next level to a 44?
  16. I use the same set up, works fine but if you slip when your clipped into just your side ds it can jar your lower back not nice
  17. Thanks guys I think Im going bite the bullet, the idea of a defender tipper is tempting but alas good ones are hard to find in the emerald isle
  18. Hello all Im new to this so be gentle I am currently driving a VW Caddy, Its served me well as self employed climber doing small jobs, but I have a new chipper arriving in a fortnight and chipping into a van is not an option. I am looking at a 57 plate Ford ranger King cab, Its not a tipper but I figure if it all goes well I will get a tipper fitted to it next year. Whats the general thoughts on Ford ranger?
