  1. That's the tree from avatar, I thought it was burnt down;-). Great tree, that one would test anyone's fear of height.
  2. Sounds like you had a eventful evening like me watching the footy, glad you got them! I bet it got your heart racing.
  3. Yea the reason your going threw them so fast is because your body is likely tobe worn, throw some pics up! What rope are you using?
  4. I used a pantin over my spikes the other day for srt access and it worked fine. Oh and dan about the throwline I meant not being able to use it ,say when your in a busy street, would you just ascend the tree drt or srt tying off on every branch.
  5. 👍. Ian if you can't get your tip from a throwline do you ascend the tree from the bottom drt then switch to srt when your anchor is meet. I bet these questions have been asked but I really don't want to have to go all the way threw the pages😀.
  6. Your dam right dan! I just don't find the time at work to make the switch but I really need to as I can see the benefits for sure.i look forward to seeing you at the recy so you can show me some tricks.
  7. It's just say when I'm working on a pole and my anchor point is on a different leader when spiking up with the sj I can hold my position and tail it threw but srt it's a lot more awkward you need two hands todo so, one to take up line stretch and the other to tend the hitch.
  8. I'm yet to make the switch Iv had the rw 6 months now but I really haven't given it a shot yet, there's things I can do on my sj that I won't be able todo on srt!
  9. Retire it once the body is shagged you will no this when you are replacing cams and its still not gripping. I do a cam roughly every 8 months. Honey brothers sell replacement bodies for £60 plus vat

  17. I think if you have regular work 5 days a week it's a fair wage, if you only had a couple of days then I would be charging more, I'm in a similar situation to you feeling I'm worth more but my boss will not pay the rate I want, but I'm happy there.
  18. Will these stiff tethers floating about fit the zk1 rope wrench?
  19. It's horrible enough with local let alone without, ouch! They do a amazing job. I'm drugged up to the nines tonight feeling great😀.
  20. Cheers for your input boys. Just been to see eye specialist, all healing up well still incredibly painful on constant drips. Back to hospital Monday to see contact lens specialist as I need to wear one for next month or two. Play safe guys I'm incredibly skint, wish I took out insurance .
  21. Dan we all have petzls at work and we fly threw bridges between us! I think they could make a safer bridge. Lucky you had that brew bro
  22. Yup I assumed it was just saw so if I slept on it I would be fine in the morning, boy how wrong was I lol.
  23. Thanks Paul, luckily I still have my vision just extremely blurred at the minute but that's because of the infection. I got myself a pair of safety eyes today and they won't be coming off! If it weren't for the large box off anaesthetic eye drops I would have pulled my eye out by now and punched a few holes in the wall haha. Ni is worth every penny after the last 2 days iv had. Cheers for comments lads.👍
  24. Hi guys just thought I would share my ordeal as a reminder to everyone to make sure you wearing correct eye equipment and take care of them, yesterday I was dismantling ash tree and yanked on a hanger which the tips poked my eye and snapped off leaving all sorts of shrapnel wood moss etc in my eye, I washed my out out to no relief so I decided to sleep on it! 1.30 am I woke up in agony and got myself to the hospital, turns out iv badly scratched my eye and infection has set In, they sent me home with drugs and called me back in the morning to see a eye specialist, the lady took another look and noticed I had a flap of eye tissue hanging on from the cut she removed it but had to remove more tissue than ideally needed so I now have a massive contact lens protecting my eye and a nasty cut. I have to go back tomorrow for a check up! It's been a extremely painful ordeal but a lesson learned treat yourself to some good eye protection!.
