  1. It wouldn't seem so anymore. Isuzu trooper or daihatsu fourtrak maybe the closest when they were built? Though neither are made anymore no one seems to build vehicles for off road work anymore, apart from the defender and ford ranger.
  2. Yep, saw this quite a bit when i was in the south west of Ireland 3 months ago.
  3. Absolutely incredible, amazing talent
  4. The Princes Trust do grants for young people called development awards. The maximum they will give someone is £500, most CS30/31 courses are more than that, so you will need to put something towards it as well. Contact them and see what they say. Here is the link with more information - Development Awards
  5. Hi Rupe, thanks for the reply, to late now to pick it up, are you able to deliver it, and at what cost? Thanks
  6. I have a 346xp with 15" bar, excellent all round chainsaw, id highly recommend it. Worth stretching your budget for.
  7. Hi all, my parents are after some firewood, ideally we would like unsplit hard wood rings and lengths, would like about 1 ton. If there's anyone in the Stroud/Gloucester are that has some that would be great. Get back to me with a price, Thanks. (would possibly be able to pick it up too)
  8. Its interesting to see all the inventive vehicles different people use for coppice work. Nice work.
  9. Anyone know what the Army are replacing the land rovers with?
  10. Definitely a Daihatsu Fourtrak, incredibly reliable, great off road, better mpg than most other 4x4s, affordable, tows the same weight as a Defender. Parts aren't cheap but then you wont be needing many:biggrin: Its a proper rufty tufty workhorse. Im very pleased with my 1997 Fourtrak. Isuzu Trooper would also be a good choice.

    ArbDogs? Pics!

Lovely looking dog, what kind of pointer is he/she ?
  12. Im 20 and Ive got my Daihatsu Fourtrak insured with Aviva, who were by far the cheapest out off all the companies i looked at. I hear NFU is also supposed to be quite reasonable.
