  1. well ive secured 2 good deals with the chippers. so its either one or the other. im getting the majorty of the funds froma goverment grant scheme.

  3. About to buy a chipper within the next couple of weeks . only really used a timberwolf 150. can anyone shed some light on the better machine out the two stated. cheers

  9. yes quiet times now.......... watch out jan 2011 when VAT goes up to 20% thats worrying. as the 1 year wonders (people with a little trailer and chainsaw that will fell a tree for a fraction of the price ) will wreck the Arb industry. Fingers Crossed that we will be okay
  10. the reason why everyone goes quiet is because people are spending money on there kids with them not being at school.. or choosing to spend money on a holiday aboard. between may - july are busy times then backend of august to octorber. are busy the rest of the year theres work that comes in week by week. my way is to graft my a**e off through may to july so im stable for the quiet months

  12. im selling my car to fund it so i will need seats in the back. i know people will think im mad but i can only affoard a van as i have 3 motorbikes ( carnt sell them). but anyways double cab is a must for tools and people. im scouting everyday for one so.......
  13. well wen to go and see that first transit (w reg ) it was an untter pile of poo! wasted 50 quid in train tickets. i reckon im going to have to find another 1000 pound and buy a 03/04 transit. most of the smiley face trannys have had a hard life. so im still on the look out please keep me inform if any of you guys see a descent tipper kicking around cheers
  14. what sort of weight do you reckon the a crew cab tipper could hold in the back before the tipper wont tip.
  15. newcastle upon tyne Mark. im set on a transit tipper. despite what everyone says. just need to get one shorted asap as we are also in progress of getting a chipper. so deffinetly need one
  16. cheers for the help im still set on a transit tipper. i have recently had 350 lwb pannel van and it was spot on 163 000 mile still on the orginal exhaust. yes parts are expensive but still like them as for ldv reckon i would feel like a pikey lol

This is a long shot but im desperate, right i have been looking all over for a transit tipper. i have just became a parnter in my fathers business and i have recently been really busy with tree work blah blah....... any ways cut along story short i have 2500 pounds to spend looking for a milenium shape transit double cab either 2000- 2002. does anyone no were theres anything for sale. im desperater help please !!!!!
  18. looking at this thread, i carnt understand why no one has put a transit tipper on here. i mean every tree person up my way has one. yes you all say landy this, landy that..... but what happens if your work is most in towns . i mean you carnt run around in a landy or uni mog not with the price of fuel etc. im on the look out for a new chip truck. can anyone tell me what would be the best to go for? ps needs to be a van not 4x4.

  20. we are looking at spending 10 000 and willing to travel anywere. looking at a timberwolf 150 towing (presuming that there one of best as they are really popular around my area). if someone could reccomend some place that sell used chippers. got to fine 5 quotes to submit

    am sure i wil figure it out. just bonused a brand spanking new pairs of spikes from an electric board worker. so that should keep me secure lol. cheers for the help

    my lanyard is about 2 mtrs long so that would work. but top side of the lean...... ps full of ivory. reckons its going to be a pig of a job
