  2. well we just have panel van ha . and a caravan ... doesnt look very good if your pulling a 25ft caravan on the back of a transit tipper ***** springs to mind. but im thinking the caravan is the best bet.

Hi all been a self employed climber a little over 2 years now. i am looking to get into the forestry side of arb. i am young ,fit and like a challenge, nptc certified CS30,31,39,41 clean driving licence, PPe , Chainsaws, Van, Chipper and climbing kit.   8. hi guys, having abit trouble with my flashing becon. problem is its not flahing.... i have checked the bulbs the conecters on the switch . it doesnt seem to be wired to the fuse box. any body got any suggestion to why it has stopped its a 2002 crew cab transit if thats anyhelp

  11. hi there, just recieved a parking ticket tonight. as i parked on some hard standing in a for double cab tipper van at the metro centre as i needed to bit of xmas shopping... i couldnt fit in any of there tight spaces ( didnt want to take up 2 spaces so i would obstructed anyonther customers) so i decided to park well out of the way of the main entrance. however i have recieved a parking ticket anyone had any expierences like this or can anyone give me advice on how i can apeal ps. this is my main mode of transport .
  12. i have a double cab transit tipper ,the body is a fair bit wider than thE chipper when it comes into the mirror vision its nearly to late . good job i normally have it on when theres two men in the van so we end up un hitching and pushing in the drive .
  13. good afternoon well i think its about time i posted this up. even tho im probably gunna get the pee ripped out of me .... has anyone got any tips on reversing a tipper van with a chipper on the back. its really dificult to see anything out of the mirrors and a block back window from the chip box. it wants to jack knife al the time . i can reverse my ifor williams twin axle trailer no bother just this chipper is proving difficult. any tips or advice

    lol. im sitting here with a bandaged up thumb . after splitting it open on a chain saw in the back of the van... could of been prevented if i had gloves on . or had the scabbard on the saw. hence why i started this thread
  17. evening, Anyone like to shed some light on which out of the following 3 saws would be best saw to go for currently running a 372xp however some people are saying 66 is the way forward... however i have found a company that will do me a deal on a 650 (100 pound cheaper than the 660) ..... decision decision ... can anyone help me make my mind up looking to runn a 30 inch bar on it.

  20. i was charging 200 a quid a day to climb with van and removal waste.
  21. fuel prices are increasing. normally means everything should go up .
  22. thanks, i was just wanting some prices as i have just purchased a chipper. and i know prices are going up all the time. just want to be competive but not price myself out the market ..... i was maybe thinking of hiring out with an operater to try and get the chipper to pay for its self i know my local hire shop hire them out for 70 plus vat a day plus 10-20 pounds for delievery
  23. looking for a guide line price on the following. -a groundsman with a van and chipper -a climber with a van and chipper - a combined 2 man (climber and grounds man) team, van and chipper.... averaging a 25 mile radius
  24. wish i could keep the transit but i cant afford to run two vechicle as my insurance near 2000 quid. really gettin persuaded by the pickups as i have now got an ifor williams 6 x12ft trailer. im like the navara purely becuase of the looks and fuel econmy 37 mpg we average this weekend on a run up to edinburgh. hell of alot better than the transit .
