  2. Hi there. well business has been crackin this year. so i am now looking to change my van. currently running a 2003 transit crewcab tipper. however its starting to look abit tierd. anyways im puzzled on what to get next. im looking for a van that looks good and had a more refined cab. as this vechile will be used for personal use aswell. as im only 20 and insurances for a van and car are riduculess. good fuel enconmy is essential and i would prefer a crew cab so i have the extra room for more folk or for the tools to be safe when i go for my lunch lol. Heres my options iveco crew cab tipper new shape 140bhp transit tipper crew cab new shape with the 6 speed box vw crafter single tipper mercedes crew cab tipper have between 8k and 10 k to spend. was think about a landy as i live in the country and when the snow comes i will still be ableto get to work. any opinions, review i would be greatfull cheers
  3. quick question. i have been to see a job this afternoon. were the customer wants me to clear there garden. they have about 20-30 rhodo's with a stem diameter of about 15-25cm so there afair size. they were orginally planted to screed a lane that runs at the back of the garden. however they have growned out of control. some have been flattend from the snow after last winter. so anyways the question i am asking is. `can i prune these rhodo's right back to just above the base, without killing them off? if so how long will it take for the foilage to come back? any other info i would be greatful ps. the thread title not thinning, pruning many thanks

Hi, Was out at friends yesterday. he asked me to have quick look at his beech trees. this what i found...... mainly al of beechs show signs of ustulina. what are they like to climb when ustulina is this far gone. most of his tree have no bark on the bottoms of there stems is this one of the cause of ustulina because i have also pictured a pine with no bark on. any thought i would be greatful cheers
  8. yes they do have air controls on the top and doors. the only reason i want to keep it going is, the house get cold really quick and the walls are starting show signs of damp. i just want to keep it ticking over. so i can dry my clothes and keep the downstairs warm. before bed time i stoke it up with logs and a shovel full of coal. and close all the vents. if itgoes out tomorrow morning. i will try tipping the embers into the fire to see if it can keep going tomorrow. thanks for your advice people
  9. Hi there. i have a Hunter herald stove` dual fuel. coal and logs. just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the best way to keep it going through out the night and daytime. i normally put a few logs on then once they are half burned i put a good few shovel fulls of coal on then ad logs every so often. however its seems to burn out if i leave to for long intervals (5-6 hours) im using hardwood ash beech sicky birch or cherry.

  12. well i priced it for a normally take down. just priced a little more for my time the tree has a big union so i was going to set a rigging point from the other side of the tree so nothing touched the line. i was just parinoid about any electric contucting through the tree. ive already been shocked when i worked over in portugal. after the rope came across the line and sent a canny shock through me. i was told it was insulated but it was still enough to get shaking. but anyway thats another story
