  1. just needed some advice. got a few ash takedowns tomorrow. one of the trees am taking down has a big lean. about30 cm stem width and the crown is full of dead wood. just need some advice on spiking up a lean stem. the stem lean angle would be between 50-60% lean angle. any help i would be greatfull (newbie climber)

  3. hi guys, well as you may know am in the process of starting up a business along side my fathers company. have been looking at gettin some new chainsaws. i have been using husky 357's but now using the stihls on my college course i really like them. so am after after so stihl chainsaws..... need a top handle. a one for snedding and big bugger for felling large stems any reccomendation wouldnt go a miss. p.s is this what saws i need. because i will ust use my huskys as spares
  4. been talking with my dad today. definetly need a double cab tipper. as it will be the main work transport. as we recently purchase a vw crafter 163bhp . which is really far to good for work. so the double cab for tool storage. my mate has a transit tipper for sale 51 plate. double cab. litte bit of rust on the tipper body but can be sorted he wants 2900 for it worth it?????

  8. yes mate i can with a a trailer test certificate. plus my dad will be using it aswell
  9. sorry 3.7 meters sorry. prevously had a 350 transit 125 bhp. which pulled no bother. dont no whether a 90 bhp transit would cope ?
  10. hello, on the look out for tipper. have always been persuaded by the ford transit. have since looked at the LDV's as they look really cheap. any one have any advice on any tippers to get. what it will be used for. i am 18 yrs of age and it will be like my main mode of transport. so something economical and double cab for ladies in the back would be good. normally working residential. also something that can pull a 3.7 ifor williams trailler. cheers for any advice in advance

  13. hi, just bought a joblot of climbing gear today. which im over the moon with. anyways, i have also got a spider jack just wondering if some one could talk me through on how to set it up. pictures also could be helpfull. ps anyone used one rating/reviews????? cheers
  14. yes another thread about boots spent the last few hours looking through boot threads on here. however im looking for some lightweight long lasting chainsaw boots. im persuaded by the haix protector pros. currenttly using some stihl special boots which are a pile of **** as the sole just come off. never ever have another pair of stihls again any help would good cheers

    i will have a look around on the net for a bargin. as for starting by myself i wouldnt as i am joining in parnership with my father who has his own landscaping business. however i do see your point about getting expeirence. i will try and take on work with local arborists as and when i can
