    We will all still push barrows, load skips, and pull our bollox off to get a living, loaders don’t always go where we need them. At 45, and educated, I’d give it a miss if I had my time again. But I’m sure I’m the argumentative one.

    Do you really want to get into manual graft at 45, it’s not old by any stretch, but I notice it these days.

    I quite like the idea, I keep all the money I earn and lookout for myself, have to get healthcare insurance, I could live with that. I still think many would struggle though. I don’t know the answer.

    Nope, the Tory’s have us in this situation, 12 years isn’t quite a live time, but it’s enough to get me, a middle earner, and you an high end earner into a state neither of us want. Would Labour have done anything better, I doubt it, but I’m no fan of them either.

    Sorry! I thought I’d posted a screenshot of the salary from the lady who was advertising the job? I’m fairly sure see said £40k If they employ inexperienced staff I’m not sure.

    No, that’s for someone with experience who would be out on their own in a company van.

    This simply is not true, £40k on the books isn’t cutting it around Stoke, very few are entering the trade. More are leaving it. I’ll ask again, what are ‘we’ going to do about it?
