    Descending

yeah i just figure these's all take too long and putting on. my idea was for work situtaions and doesnt seems to twist rope. one hand on hitch and one hand underneath on rope below the bend. smooth sailing all the home:biggrin: @ drew i glad accept your offer and we should do it when i am over in few weeks. maybe at the fancy dress comp? and video it be funny as. i think be gd idea to have a mattress underneath tho:blushing: or some kind of back up atleast. i have to use your rope too bro:001_tt2: your on the wrench then eh? Cheers MOG

    Descending

yeah some guys put figure 8 under there hitch to take most of the friction, i use my landyard bineer and clip through my main attachment ring (treemotion of course). this creates a bend in the rope creating the friction. this takes all the weight and you just have to hold your hitch open. and is alot quicker that setup up a figure 8. i post a pic up later today, so you get the idea. less gear the better:) spiderjack phfffff ;p cheers MOG

  15. NZ by along way so far, got it all. Norway is amazing country and even better treework. Sweden is the same would love to spend more time there, and the women dont get me started. jaw dropping to say the least. have to agree with ross tho, there is something about being in a kauri tree/forrest Australia you do some big s...t, and see some too. in plant life and animal. very cool country would takes years to see properly there is alot more of the world and trees to see tho, a rated list is hard to do as there are alot of variables. i think to the most it is the people you meet and enjoy the experiences with and the country. Cheers MOG

  19. think u have already answered your question mate. end of the day its ur life, and any doubt in ur bridge should be silky cut all way through and get a new one. Thats how i think about things ay, only fiver to replace. Cheers Mog
  20. i use Omega steel 65kn on majority of my rigging. even on big bits, the bigger the piece the more wraps i do around the log. following the same direction, then clip bineer back onto line. With all the wraps around the log, loads of the energy goes into this, before the hitting the bineer. i dont use a half hitch as i was taught, as the bend ratio is to tight and then burns the rope on rope with the friction. i seen ropes snap right on that bend, due to this. On very big bits, i use a d-shacktle on to splice (as a splice is stronger than knots, due to the same point of Bend ratio's). and then use same as you would with your bineer. this is mainly because the bend ratio is way better, due to the diameter of the d-shackle. and they usually are bit higher rated too. cheers mog

    Stihl ms201

Mmm interesting... i also have had this saw for a few months now and at the start i thought yeah it pretty good. they recently i left mine in the truck and had to borrow someones MS200 and man if i could go back i would straight away! just hasn't got the power, like a few guys are saying it just bogs down. takes abit to kick into high rev's. chainbreak keeps sticking and i have to clean it regularly. on the plus on fuel its amazing!Mmmmmmm not looking good ay. why you reckon change to winter tho? Cheers MOG

Cheers MOG
