got to go into the shop today for some parts so ill get them to ultra sonic it for me , update soon!!

did what you said, put a tube on fuel inlet and blew,activated lever and pressure released, sucked and held it my tongue,all good there, new carb i think!!

ive got a spare tank/handle,gonna swap that over,seems maybe its pressurized

ill try that. cant understand how i only pulled saw over 4-6 times ,put it back on the bench and when i went to the saw today the carb was half full of petrol,literally covered half the choke flap

Right , checked flywheel key, all good there,checked for needle leak,all good there, leave the saw over night and there is fuel everywhere,took diapragm off and it seemed to be stuck down,thus keeping needle open?this is a new carb kit,could it be faulty?

right tonights update, checked needle, seems ok, made sure diag nipple is in the lifter, now it wont even fire...4 pulls on choke and i have fuel running out of the muffler..aaarrrggghhh

if you filled crankcase up with fuel,could this be a method to test crank seals, ie if it leaks out over say 12 hours? or is it more of a pressure issue??

yeah its a tillotson carb, maybe i havent got the nipple in right,think ill check the needle valve for wear while its apart,will update you tomorrow,cheers

saw will fire on choke when cold,then just floods up,checked and double checked diag and gasket sequence,not touched welch plug,tons of compression,tried starting with throttle wide open all to no avail

cleaned carb,new gaskets and diaphrams,new pot gasket,cleaned tank breather,set metering side of carb,good compression and spark ,but she just floods and wont start, anything else before she goes into the shop??
