  9. Since moving Jon I don't have a fire now but used to still have it going in the summer with all the windows open haha can't beat a nice fire:thumbup:
  10. My old man used to scream and shout at me and give the other lads the easy jobs I hated it but I know why now they push you to be the best you can. It's hard to find good lads your lucky mate most good lads work for them self
  11. I realised at Xmas mate took my boy to hospital with a temperature the doctor quickly diagnosed meningitis and saved his life. People slag the nhs off but we are very lucky and I would of give them everything at the time.
  12. I know loads of lads who offer to work for free for a week or whatever to get a job as they know when they prove themselves they get paid:) I've set up with my bro and we just get freelance lads in when needed, I'd hate to employ someone who turns out to be lazy and have you by the danglys because you need a valid reason to let them go.
  13. That's great that mate you can tell people until your blue in the face about our job but they don't understand until they see you in action:thumbup:
  14. I would say if you didn't know the lad put him on minimum wage and temporary basis until he proves himself then pay him what he's worth to you:)
  15. I'm very suprised that I've never been stopped with my chipper even when doing night shifts or when I bought it driving home in the middle of the night passing patrol cars. It wouldn't bother me either as at least I'd know they are checking.
  16. :blushing:Didn't get the sarcasm through text. Loving the fingers crack mate I've got a good pair of felcos for that job haha
  17. What's with the eye popping out thing mate that happened to my parents spaniel and it always had ear problems too?
  18. Would be great in a perfect world treequip mate:001_smile: some people you just can't help though. The trouble is most thieves will be people who don't work IMO and if someone hasn't had to work hard for money they don't appreciate money cos they get it for free:sneaky2:
  19. Best thing was Tommer my lurcher was free and never needed one vet visit:thumbup: my mates lass paid a fortune for a shitsu and has monthly visits. Surely the fancy looking dogs must have been bred from dogs with freak characteristics or interbred years ago to look the way they do?
  20. Great shots mate love em or hate them when you see a fox in good health they're a beautiful creature. A lot of people don't like stoats either but I've sat and watched a group of young ones a couple of times and I loved it:biggrin:
  21. Lurchers are awesome dogs and they are mongerals it's suprising what they go for, it wasn't that long ago jack russels were seen as mongrels too I remember people couldn't give them away. I see jps point tho mongrels used to go for nowt although to me they are better dogs you can breed them to have the characteristics to suit you:)
  22. I had a collie cross lurcher lads was a beautiful and clever little dog and she was soft as muck but I remember me dad coming in the back door one night from the pub and she didn't know it was him, she was growling and tensing up her muscles looked like when them gremlins got water on them haha they were popping out all over
  23. I know a few farmers who have them (obvious I know) and they are soft as muck but as soon as they click the chain on their collar it's like they go into guard dog mode.
  24. Collies are surprisingly good guard dogs.
  25. It's a great idea Jammy I bet most on here would chip in on one and place in a hot spot IME Northampton is def a hot spot:sneaky2:
