  8. Sorry I did read it a couple of times but I am not the best reader. too far from me shame because it looks like a cracking bit of wood.

  12. Thanks Tony. Sorry to hijack your thread Splinters, just chance I did on the week before. How are you getting on?
  13. Thanks dude I will update pics over the next few years!
  14. Thanks guys, Well sadly I live in buckinghamshire miles from the beech I might take it down the cable some time but I can only just lift it on my own LOL. It would be ok for a tow board on Massive waves!
  15. I finally got round to making one last week. I cut a 5" slab of Sycamore drew round one of my boards as a guide. I wasn't worried about tail rocker so I cut from the tail 2 thirds of the way towards the nose with the Alaskan until where I wanted to start the nose rocker. Then used the minimill to cut out the shape and to cut the curve of the nose rocker. it wasn't perfect but with a lot of planing and sanding I think it turned out ok. The last pic is of my boy standing on it on my newly topiaries Yew hedge I hope this makes sense? I wish I had taken more pics of the process! Enjoy
  16. :biggrin:Well I might get the 066 waled in carbon anyway!
  17. Looks pretty tasty? STIHL Carbon Concept chain saw | STIHL | Stihl, Viking, chain saws, brushcutters, hedge trimmers, clearing saws, high-pressure cleaners, lawn mowers, trimmers
  18. Yes mate I think someone in the last few years raised the soil level an it had rotten the root ball, it was a little spalted but had gone soft so had to discard the bottom foot of the trunk. I made a deck and bridge over a pond out of scots pine which everyone said would just rot but its fine. so I would have thought the monkey puzzle would be ok. keep us posted so I can steal and good idears! LOL
  19. Nice Pic I did one a couple of months ago Its drying now. I saw it on facebook "from the woods" is that you? Any way I've been thinking about what to make it into a lot recently. The first pic is the center of the base of the trunk I like the butterfly effect of the branches. The other bits would be great bar tops with coasters built in:biggrin:
  20. Not trees and not all slow-motion but fun last summer.
  21. Nice one well I didn't expect that!
  22. Nice one Dog. Heres another one not the best filming but I was kinda worried about the wall.
  23. Im using some old chicken sheds left on the yard when I bought it, Ive taken one side off. Should I make holes in the back wall behind the wood stacks? I plan on demolishing them when Ive build a barn so not worried about modifying them.
  24. Post your slow-motion clips and films here. Watch for the shard that shoots back up towards me in the tree I never seen that before.
