Myerscough provide all climbing kit required for a course and the assessment. Probably a good option at you will have the chance to try before you buy, Also the same kit will be sorted out or you to do chainsaw in the tree. Check out the college website for details.

I may have missed this comment on other threads but - I wonder what stihls efforts, comments and feed back they will have when pretty much everyone is going to be getting stuck in o them at the Arb show in a couple of weeks Glad I am not a stihl rep attending the AA show James

Hi David Try myerscough college short courses. There is a link to the short courses via the main college web site. Dates for the next few months courses are all there. The prices given are inclusive of assessment cost. Equipment for 38,39 is provided and everything you would need for 32 is the same as for your 31. Winches etc would be provided. We have done planty of work at petrol station never had a problem with saws and chippers etc. The biggest issue is always traffic, and they never want to block pumps off to give you some working space. you could try out of hours working

You can get a set of new dogs fom stihl made for the job. I think they are called felling spikes fit perfect i changed them on my 046 and i belive they are a good addition.

I had this happen to me many years ago with a bandit 250. Blade came off and through the housing then bedded itself in a nearby tree we couldnt remove the blade from the tree ! Probably still there to this day.

If you love the Bandit 65 You should have a look/try the Bandit 150xp !

Ive used the stein rope bags most recently. It seems to be one of the better ones around at the moment. The spings that hold the bag rigid are a great idear and makes it easy to feed the rope back in and it also helps the rope feed out of the bags as well. the only thing is that i dont know if it would take a hit very well. Ive used a few types of rope bags of rope bags. I have found that if you want a rope bag that like a rucsack, caving rope/kit bags work well. They are strong and genarly made of rubberised material so they are very waterproof, and seen to be quite cheap. You can find ones that are made by smaller suppliers and not dig brand names.

Well Ive worked for bartlett in Cheshire for the last 8 years. Ive never seen anyone laid off, Some have been let go over the years but not because of no work etc. We are still busy.
