  1. Had it for about four months last year after an ear infection it got to a point that I was ready to cut my head off it was that annoying. I am so careful now wearing ear protection wether using saws or grinders, still have music loud button on full in workshop though
  2. Moved house last year and so far to date I and the better half have moved 14 trailer loads of rose bushes, brambles, and many other species of prickly things just so the kids can have chickens.

    Guide Bar

Sorry I should have said that it copes well with the 36" I just wondered if it would take a bit bigger to make life a lot easier.

    Guide Bar

Can anyone tell me how long a bar my stihl 051 will handle. I am cutting a big old beech at the moment and starting to struggle with 36". Feel like the saw would handle a bit longer which would make the job a bit easier.
  5. Its only going to get worse at the moment the ethanol content is only 5% soon this will go upto 10%. The ethanol absorbs moisture so buy from a fast moving outlet not from a forecourt that does not move a lot of fuel. I do not leave any fuel in my saws when not in use for the same reason
  6. Got a pair of oregon super comfort seem to be wearing ok and they breath well to.
  7. I once cut sir Alfred Mcalpine's front lawn for silage bales it was about 5 acres.
  8. Only have three saws the main being a huski 55 which is eight year old and does everything I ask of it and never lets me down. I also have two stihl 051 one which is a dog runs 25" the other is like new and runs a 36" bar don't get used much as their bloody heavy. Been thinking about something lighter than the huski but cant make up my mind which as I only do firewood for the family and some local farmers
  9. Try speaking to gwyn lewis you can get his number off his website I have a set of ome springs and shocks on my 90 and its fine when loaded to the limit and still quite flexible when driving out of the woods
  10. I got mine from southam tyres through devon 4x4 got a better price buying that way as I was rebuilding my landie at the time but might be worth a try. Had to wait 4 days for them though.
  11. Google gigglepin can not beat an 8274 with a few mods
  12. Got a gigglepin gp83 on the front of my landy awsome piece of kit. Was bought for off road but change of plan means it is now used for pulling timber out of our quarry for logs this one will work all day without getting to hot just warm enough to defrost your fingers on a cold day.
