  2. used to happen on mine when pulling big loads never could get to the bottom of it. letting the turbo heat up before towing helped, so did changing the engine oil that was on a 2003 one driving a 2010 now and no problems with her
  3. For all the landrover 130 tipper users. What way is it described in your log book? Mine is described as a 130 crew cab. Is this normal?

  7. I carry a hip problem too thought it was from having the saw hanging on one side not spiking. Also packing the statutory lower back problems. And a bad knee. Stretching daily is a major help although a lot of time I can't be arsed
  8. I read a post on here how some lads stamp or mark their saws with atheir post code or some thing. Does anyone know how to go about this do you by a stamp or melt it into the plastic or engrave it? Iwould like a way that it was tidy but noticeable and I could squeeze company name/contact details onto it. If anyone knows of a good technique or stamp/brand manufacturer please post.

I have a row ow large leylandii to fell and want to replace with hardwoods As the title says i am looking for some advice on what i could replant between leylandii stumps if this is possible preferably hardwoods, bareroot of standard size. Would i need to supplement the soil etc thanks for taking the time to reply
  12. brakes were def locked together think he just pannicked he was the only one there so guess i will never know for sure but is an experienced tractor driver mechanic says if assessor decides brakes failed they wont pay out then i will be f****d
  13. waiting on the ins assessor to look at it, mechanic says its a write off wouldnt mind but got the tractor at a good price and its going to be hard to find another so clean. chipper was a schliesing 220 should be able to sort it out badly bent shoot and hopper and snapped toplink and two lift arm pins, havent checked the internals yet but would make a bet theyare ok schliesings are pretty bullet proof
  14. Got a phone call this morning to go out to the job there was a bit of a problem......... My tractor driver tried a gear change up a steep incline tractor started rolling back he must have panicked and ended up like this. walked away with a few scratches on his arm and a good ear bashing.
  15. rang nptc before they told me i needed sponsored by an assessment centre. Your right thouhg better going direct to source than gassing about it on here
  16. Can anyone tell me how i go about becoming an NPTC trainer/assessor. From what I understand you need to get an already qualified assessor sit in with them and learn from them. But any assessor i have talked to over here is so cagey when asked about it. If nescessary i would go to England, Scotland, Wales to get qualified can anyone help or at least throw a little light on the subject for me.
  17. funny enough she quit not long after going back to work after a 2 week lay off over christmasdidnt think the mix would have deteriorate in 2 weeks but will have to watch that in future on all saws. She had 3 hard years under her belt anyway

  19. This is a MS200t that wont start is getting fresh fuel and a spark i reckon the pistons to far gone to bother to much with it. Opinions please

  23. as i keep stating i am talking after tax which is £60 aday net x 5 days aweek = £300a week net this is equal to £420 a week gross x 52 weeks a year which equals around £22k a year anyway this getting to much like hard work now so I will take from this a climber gets £120 a day before tax with you boys and a groundy £60 before tax
  24. your telling me that a brash dragger will earn nearly £22k a year pre tax and a climber over £45K a year pre tax if thats true im on my way to wherever you are
