Nostalgia mate, my cresta 3.3 straight 6= 100mph around 12-18mpg, compare that to a corsa or fiesta, and they don't boil over if you stop for more than 5 seconds in the summer, but yeah I totally agree they were fun

Top of my head jon I think it was around 3-4 seconds, nothing came near it, there was a programme dedicated to it a few years ago, and an old salesman was on it saying "I used to put a fiver on the dash when I took a potential customer for a test drive and gave them 5 seconds to grab it as I put my foot down, nobody ever grabbed the fiver"

Theres always one as they say, but it is the cobra, held the fastest o-60mph for years, top one was 800bhp and all that in the sixties, this car was the reason 70mph was introduced on the motorways as one was clocked doing 186mph on the m1
