    got too love bone oak,,,,,
  3. blinding mate,,sat was wet and windy,but still shifted the yew bench,and then yesterday bone oak bench,and endless mushrooms ect,,,happy bunny!!!got booked for for more too,,,,

  6. yep all three still going strong mate,although need to repair the tops,they`ve split a bit where the ground was hard,,,my fault,,,made some more up,,do it as a demo now and again if im bored of turning,,,
  7. sounds good mate, I have very little sucess drying 1"oak even stickered right,and under cover, seems to warp quite alot,, I tend to cut it slightly thicker now and plane it up, be interested to see how it drys,,, I rent a lucas in occasionally as it really does cut true boards,fast,,,
  8. this was the bench I sold, yesterdaay, very similar too the one I made last time(with the boring legs) seems if you get the right wood, it sells itself,,
  9. first day of my show today,got a good lead for a hotel chain today,,so fingers crossed,,,sold a bench too,,,considering the weather,,,,,bonus...
  10. thanks guys,,,the top is cut free hand on the bandsaw willy nilly(jigsaw would do) then I lay the first cut over the second board and scribe the same wiggly line,trying to make sure both boards are same width,there abouts,,,not that critical, the rails are free hand too,then I flip the second one over so it runs the opposite way on the other side,,,its alll trial and error,and suppossed to be funky, I finnished another bench yesterday,but was too late to take photos,,,,got my first show tomorrow so shall see how we get on,,,

  12. made this up to go along side my bone oak bench,,,,
  13. I look forward to seeing the results rob,,,,i`m out on walks and foraging for the stuff most days,lol,,,I sand it down at the mo,but am going to play with sandblasting it,,too see how it comes up,,,
  14. with mushrooms,,,as with everything else,,if its a 100degrees,,,they will split,,,i make mine in stages,,,carve them, let them chill for two weeks in the shelter, wind drys them,,then sand,,and oil,,,bingo,,,
  15. i found out today that this loss was very close, and me and my team are very gutted,,,we`d all like to offer our help in any way possible,,,seriously jose, were just round the corner,,,call if you need anything ,,,07770376156:thumbup1:
  16. na not me mate,,,,,havny made any chairs yet,,,sticking with benches and coffee table,,,(oh and a dinning table for me,too stop the nagging)
