  2. hi woodlworks,,,lol,,theres no way Im dragging that too glastonbury,,not enough space, unless I take the backseat out ,,ive got a few shows before that,,,,just made it as wanted to be creative,,,,

Ian for 13 yrs I didnt have space,,then things happened and I rented a bigger space, sub-let some out to two other woodrelated businesses, and we all get on and they make the space viable,and three of us have space we otherwise couldnt afford,,,,then,,you fill that space,,and find you need more,,lol

  15. :thumbup1:hi Ian, I tend to either mitre my mirrors then glue and biscuit joint the corners, my biscuit machine isnt fancy , cost no more than a drill, but comes in handy for jooining smaller boards together if i want to make toy boxes etc,so worth the investment, and the other way i do them if dont want mitres,is the same as you ,half lap and dowls,using different colour dowls to make a feature,i have some rounding planes to make any size dowl i need ,so its handy,,, your mirror is sweet,so carry on mate,,,

  18. I` m the same stephen,,,crash anything from 8.30 onwards and wake up for the 4am lie in bed and think of all the things I need to do today syndrome,,think sod it,,get up and then forget everything,,,lol,,,,cup of coffee and arbtalk,,,,bingo!

If Im honest,,take away the sheer delight and satifaction of milling your own timber,,,but having spent money on a big saw,,the cost of the alaskan, fuel,chain costs,etc,,sometimes wonder if its better (less rsi)to buy softwood beams? Now if your milling a lovely piece of yew in the middle of nowhere and have an arbtrolley to remove it,,,,different story,,,

  21. hi guys if your deadwooding any old oaks am after some staghorn Oak, some call it bone oak,,,its the rock hard dry branches still attached to the trees,,,Im after,,,,collect it,,and give me a call,,,,

  24. did silverstone a couple of yrs ago,,was a good crack, For the record,,,there are good showers, wood fuelled and piping hot, my yurt has a delux double airbed, and we take our own toilets,,,once you`ve done these things a few times you get with the program, we even have a schedule for the cider run,,, we make a huge kitchen dinning area and chill with our nice neighbours from cornwall, who happen to be women ,making funky jewerly,,,i sleep better than home(cider helps) and love meeting all sorts of interesting bods,,,, its like barter town from madmax,,,
