Thanks Rob. Not all of it is public access, there are rights of way, but around the meadows and ponds and near that monolith are private.

OK thanks, the trametes gibbosa I've been shown before didn't look like that one top, perhaps just how mature it is?

Ah yes, thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed the different colour, thought it was the lighting. They were in a very awkward spot so I didn't get a good look- just stuck my hand in, vaguely aimed the camera without looking, pressed the button and hoped for the best!

Yes it's good, sadly only part of my job though!
Oh I'm sure they'd love it if you let them- the children I take to the forest have a fantastic time and they learn so much.

The tree in the first pic had these on it- terrible photo as zoom not working and in shadow but any ideas?

Forest School sessions, in my case with 3 and 4 year olds, basically learning outside, building dens, getting covered in mud, collecting stuff, building fires, knots and things, learning about plants/trees/animals/insects. There's more to it than that obviously but that's a brief idea! Leicestershire area.
