  1. I haven't read all of the replies so apologies is someone has already left a post similar to mine. I'm in a rush, just thought I'd leave one last post quickly! I've researched creatine properly and even rang up nutritionists and my GP, Creatine doesn't have any major side effects to your health unless you're quite unhealthy anyway or suffering from something such as diabeties. (Lots of alcohol, heavy smoker) It gives you the shits for a week or so though. I know it's not a pleasant thing to share, but I was craping pink diarrhea for a few days because I was having 5 creatine shakes a day for 5 days. Also, Creatine doesn't really, BUILD muscle... it mostly moves water molecules from parts of your body that it isn't using such at the feet and pumps it into your muscles giving you a noticable BULK look in a very short space of time. So don't be fooled! ha. I think thats correct. I only took it for a month, and noticed a difference in size surprisingly quick hitting the gym 4 times a week 2 hours at a time. Though I didn't notice much of a difference in strength if any at all... but that was because I only took it for a month. Muscles need longer than this!
  2. Correct. But once they've been doing the 20 reps of say 12KG for a period of about, a month... their muscles should find it relatively easy, it's at that point they move to trying say, 15 reps of 16kgs. So the muscles are always moving forward and becoming very well conditioned. Which is exactly what you need in this industry, but in every muscle group. Being too big makes it a lot harder to climb and move about and it isn't all strength like you say. I have a friend who worked his biceps for a year, ignored his triceps, chest and back and not only does it look silly (they're absolutely massive) ... it's terrible for the body. You gotta be muscle conditioned, with a very fit cardiovascular system to be a machine in this business! Size isn't strength (in a way) I think I'm getting there. I'm very much into my fitness and conditioning
  3. Hope he's alright and heals well. This should remind you how dangerous our jobs are and that accidents do happen. 'It'll never happen to me' Famous last words... Be safe. .
  4. Hey, woah woah there. This has got a little out of hand! My comments were in no way meant to be serious and come across sexist or anything such like. I have nothing against women working as arborists at all I think, because the job of an Arborist comes across to be a very manly, dangerous and hard grafting job, so you don't see many women in the industry and thats true... because the majority of women are not into this kind of thing? But, you should never underestimate a woman, and I'm sure there are great female arborists out there... I don't know of any but I'd love to! The lady I was referring to in my first comment as being 'useless'... she's not useless, shes much more flexable, light and limber than many of us and shes faster than a blinkin squirrel! Don't take offense to anything I've said, I was purely messing around and being a bit sarcastic. I apologise to you all!
  5. Do you consider your build to be? It depends on your build and what you want to do. For tree work you want to condition your body so you have endurance, power, strength and stamina! You don't want to be pumping 25KG bicep curls, you want to do about 20 reps of 12kg but again this depends on your current build and what weight you find comfortable to use without breaking a sweat in 5 reps! Lots of push ups, chin ups, tricep dips, sit ups, lat and shoulder work outs! Balanced diet is good.
  6. Pardon? Calm down mate I'm only having a laugh Some people on here get so arsey for no reason... No need to flame on me
  7. What is she like working in a tree though? she can climb a tree but is she ALL SWING NO KA-CHING? (that saying is copyrighted harrison2604 2011) and I'm only messing, I'm sure shes got some skills, being world climbing champion
  8. I've never even heard of it! I'm going to have a sneaky browse now though I had no idea... I shall get onto that now:thumbup:
  9. It's not that bad? £50 a day working 5 times a week is roughly £1000 a month before tax? A lot of people live on a lot less! It's not amazing but it's not terrible
  10. To have a system that notified you when somebody replies or leaves a comment on one of your posts, instead of having to browse every Topic to see if anyone has replied. That would be very good! Just thought I'd share my feelings
  11. Yeah I think that also, though it's still very good Is it on youtube? I tried it with a Shaggy Inkcap... but it was rather dissapointing, it grew about an inch then fried itself
  12. What a lovely town I must say. Nobody at the minute, private jobs. Moving to Aus in the next few month What about you?
  13. Personally, I think thats way over the top, expecially for just dragging brash? I know bloody good subby climbers that don't even charge that inc kit
  14. Also, sometimes I feel hesitant to post anything as I've noticed that quite a large number of members on here are rather judgemental and biased
  15. Nobody likes looking a fool mate I don't mind, you teach me something everyday! I've been thinking, after some of the posts I've read by you that I've maybe been giving the wrong sort of action when I get called up about a Ganoderma... which makes me feel like an idiot! When I put that post about Gano being a white rot fungus and it eating away at the trees Lignin and Cellulose, which causes embrittlement, stops the tree from flexing which 99.9% of the time leads to wind throw or limb shed... I was 'wrong wrong wrong' ? :001_tt2:I always thought white rot was rather lethal, but that's not the case, and it's actually quite slow and not too lethal depending on species and spp of Gano?
  16. I'm very into the looks of my women my friend... OH HO HO
  17. Ultimate chill. Defines perfect for me, it really does! Tell me what you think, I can't see how anyone could dislike it. Give it a chance & let it get into it! Trust me, Listen to the first 2 minutes at least... the longer you leave it, the better it gets!!! Skip to 2:37 or so for the ultimate chill blues solo that lasts a good 5 minutes Peace [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8F-DMgHXPs]YouTube - Snowy White - Midnight Blues[/ame]
