  4. Brilliant Still hard work on a dairy yet. Handling cattle and feeding plus long hours. Working on the farm definitely a good way to keep in shape 8)
  5. Synthetic ropes are really meant for self recovery so they are static (Ie they aren't moving over objects) whereas wire ropes are ideal for all winching jobs including winching logs and recovering others
  6. Only problem I see with running chain under the butt plate of the winch is that as you apply pressure onto the winch the chain could/will start to lift the butt plate out of the ground hence loosing your anchor. If using a chain bare in mind to use a strong enough chain and check for damage as with pressures involved you don't want anything to let go while under full load Steve
  7. Don't think you Can get turntable trailers new into uk as they not type approved But. Am with you would love a turntable trailer. Is there a tab to get English on that web page?
  8. I would go for another anchor, be it a tree( you can link trees together if shallow rooted), or vehicle and you can adjust your positioning to allow for pull in the direction needed
  9. Think only in Scotland can you get married outside My brother got married last month in woods. But the registrar had to do a risk assessment for site and if they hadn't been happy they wouldn't have gotten permission
