  3. i know its a long shot bit need a wee bit of help please gents! I am currently working on an investigative project at college and i need some photos to put into my assignment struggling to find photos of old Husqvarna chainsaw. I could really do with a good shot of a 133 they were launched in 1981 if that helps, well any photos of old husky's would be great but please say next to them what they are, also if anyone has any useful information about them please feel free to pass it on as all is helpful. cheers alex

  5. I have a 1939 singer, ( not the seeing machine) and as for running unleaded I did blow a head gasket last year, while I was at the rebuild I decided to fit thicker gaskets and always run a good adative wether lashing it at muddy hills in the first or running it on the road. The engine does feel more responsive than in the past but certainly don't want to do the gasket in again so deffo worth keeping an eye on the compression when it is done and of course the oil pressure even tho mine does go up and down the guage like a yoyo. Anyhow best of luck with ur project and hope this helps
  6. Hello all, its rare that i ventrue into this part of the forum but here i am, i am seeking advice about log splitters I am looking to purchase one at the moment, the requirements i have are as follows: preferably run of the back of a tractor but would consider a stand alone petrol unit, good reliable machine which wont cost the earth in parts if it does go wrong and is easy to maintain. Log splitters are something I have a very small amount of experience with so any advice you could give me would be highly appreciated Regards Alex

  10. Hello everyone, I have recently received an assignment in which I am to investigate something of my choice. For my assignment I have chosen to investigate the History of Husqvarna chainsaws from when they started making chainsaws in the 1950's until the present day looking at the development of them and what has changed and moved on in the way of safety features. I am allowed to ask others for information as long as I reference them within my assignment. So please ladies and gents any information you could give me would be of great help please private message me any info as I will need your full name in order to reference it or ideally the original author of the document and when it was published Regards Alex

  13. diminished responsibility can be put to so many crimes, it is just basically saying yes I was mad at the time of the crime but I am better now, I agree it is totally bonkers and however you look at it she murdered someone and only got 5 years which is unbelievable and at the time of the crime she meant to do it so manslaughter I wouldn't have thought could apply. Shocking storey but a very interesting watch, me and my mum were glued to the t.v. But it was strange how the other twin had pretty much influenced all of her actions, and as the professor said if they were ever to come into contact with one another again the chances of a similar thing happening is very high! And as to how someone gets hit by two cars at motorway speeds and then jumps ff a 40ft bridge after smashing herself repeatability in the head, and still doesn't die is mind boggoling
  14. bit to much for me to handle with my experience but have you got anything else at the moment please dave?
  15. I would have thought a pulley system would be best, attached to the branch above where your seat will be positioned as for attaching yourself to the pulley chain I wouldn't know what to say other than a harness maybe slightly expensive for what you intend to use it for . But see if you can find a local tree surgeon who will put the pulley up there to begin with and check it ocasionally to make sure its all still safe from time to time!
  16. just spoke to my mum about it and i am slighlty mistaken with my post she says it was firstly to do with height over the pavement and then it turned into 'well lets reduce the tree abit while we are at it' apologies for the mistaken first post
  17. well they did enforce it remember it well with the neighbours asking my mum and dad if it was them who had reported the size of the tree becoming a problem, as much as i agree it needed a reduction like it does again now as my house now receives no light either due to the size of the tree, it is a beautiful tree just a shame its in such a bad spot really. As well as which they were told if the tree work was not undertaken then council contractors would do it and then the bill would be placed on the address, there by if anyone was to buy the house in order to complete the sale the bill would have to be paid first. dont know if anyone else has heard of this happening? sorry to hijack slightly
  18. I am proud to say the middle seat in that truck has the shape of my bum etched into it now! It is a fantastic set up to work with really easy to access your tools etc etc, and as for the chipper it was the first time i used it on monday I was amazed at how fast it went through 4 conifers!
