  16. its because rather than having phenols to protect the "ripewood" poplars have "bacterial wetwood" the smell is due to this and will not last long.

  18. than wet mud! bit of sharp sand applied to boards? or a mulch path?
  19. Steve, we will have to see if we can get some kind of mat down to avoid the mud bath next year, maybe a few ply boards 3x6ft? with the metre marks sprayed on?
  20. a timely fell my man. do you like the way the fungi avoided consuming the wood they was attached to till last!
  21. this is excellent documentation, care to send me a bracket so I can confirm the ident? might want to add these images (with credit) to a certain document soon if your up for that?
