  2. well now today I went to the woods to play at being an ecologist as usual, heres a nice noctule roost found today, noisy mummies them noctules! this Prunus avium is being hollowed out by the fungus Laetiporus sulphureus and due to the t/r ratio getting thin the limb now bends right over and sits upon a neighbour! Woodpeckers made a nest in it and now Noctules found it a fine maternity roost:001_cool: So this is what i do in my spare time, I loves it:thumbup: :
  3. ha ha ha did you not notice the G. australe behind that Prunus seedling?
  4. Especialy thinking that way as it is Cherry/Prunus but it is not brown rot, so I would say this is a ganoderma, though p. squamosus can also have mycelial sheets but Ganos are classic for this in forks

  14. ha ha nothing wrong with that sentiment mate, they add a dimension to the forest, youll see them more and more as you discover your appreciation of them and their role in forest ecology.
  15. thats a corker rich, see david, how much chicken do you need to see before youll see it!
  16. You got to love the way practitioners say to thm we have to stop this, they say no, the problems occur then they make us pay for thier mistakes anyways! quality system!
  17. Look whats happening here is that the buerocrats are getting in the way of practitioners who know far better than those making up policies and rules and enforcing them.
