  1. That gano is well into this tree, youll be back for more clearing up before long.
  2. also look out for Phaeolus schweinitzii fruit bodies indicating decay.
  3. that tree is in trouble, drought stress for one, needle drop and die back is probably related to the lack of permeable surface! no mycorrhizea ect, lift as many slabs as your willing mulch and try to get some agaricus augustus fruit bodies to innoculate the rootzone or watch it die in the dry weather.

  20. Talking of beech pruning, heres one we will be discussing at arbfest in Leeds 7-8th July, be there or be square! lol Had some VERY big cuts in the canopy, lots of language and much to discuss!

I will yes, its only a 30 minute foray as thats the time im allocated for the session, there is other presentations too, I have managed to locate Laetiporus, Kretschmaria, Ganodermas and polyporus squamosus all on site even hispidus, and thats not including what we may find if we go for a stroll after the first days demos ect:thumbup1:

  23. I am well pleased with that lime Ben, thanks for posting the pics, cant wait to get down to the estate again and see them for myself.

Dont worry Paul, the spaces will fill, this is going to be a great event and the line up of speakers and topics is very good, looking forward to Paul Ellcoats and Glyn in particular. though I will of course enjoy your talks too Paul! come on guys and girls, this will be informative, and a right good social giggle, some very nice trees in the grounds, and I havent even checked out th deer park yet, where we will be if you want to follow having a walk after the day to see if we can hear/see some bats and look at some old trees and body languages.
