  2. im tempted to buy one from abroad and keep him chained to the yard for security for out of hours.it's impossible to get a local groundie.why dont we just keep swapping every few months matty?
  3. need a groundie for a few days starting tomorrow (tuesday 19 july).based in royston on the cambridge and hertfordshire boarder. could be a more pernament position depending on skills. ideally self employed, rates depending on skill and qualifications. please contact me on here or by phone. 07725808887 james

  5. had this beech reduction earlier. sorry about no pic at the start didnt think it would turn out to great.
  6. i did my tickets at shuttleworth and it wasnt that expensive and i didnt have to supply anything? they have everything there? trust me ive been in the workshop. sounds a bit odd to me mate. training is very good aswell
  7. can you not go and get a job in the supermarket?there must be something out there?
  8. if i was you i would be worried about him reading or finding out about this post... you might be out of a job quicker than thinking about gettin a better wage...
  9. matty have you thought about asking them nicely if they would relocate?
  10. 4.8 tonne... is that a 3.5 tonne truck?
  11. its not my company so the only thing matty will be gettin is a ice cream and a chat next time i see him at guilden morden shop:biggrin:
  12. all you have done matty is line frank's pockets nicely...i dont think the customer was overly bothered.he was more concerned about how the builder where carving chairs and tables for him out of the wood.i would rather play with poo than be them builders for the next couple of weeks...
  13. will do josh. the crane isnt ours we just use him when we need him.i want one it can lift 18 tonnes close in.really handy bit of machine. oh matty well here are some more pics just for you. i hope you cant sleep tonight:001_tongue:

  16. a chesnut reduction and a poorly beech being felled
  17. had this little beauty to take down the past two days.probably could have done it in a day however the lorry wasnt available when we wanted it.climber was tim green (blue).a part of the tree failed no pics because builders cleared it up before we got there.all wood stayed on site.bit of a relief really overall nice relaxed two days:thumbup:
  18. heres a couple from the past few weeks.ash was ment to come down but the council wanted to give it another chance and a very overloaded transit when 3 people are in it! willow was a heavy reduction customer wanted it down to that height and shaped.
  19. yeah i understand where your coming from if you want the experience.maybe you could sub in a climber to be your groundie so he can show you a trick or two while your climbing?even if you only sub him in for the day and then complete the job at your own pace.
  20. surely you would get more than 1 transit load of chip out of that?i would say from the pictures the jobs probably worth 450-600 with stumps...?if that would take you 3 days then you would have to put more than that on the job to make a profit?or it wouldnt be worth takin the job on...
