+1:001_smile: Does a mog make your willy look bigger though?
  3. A bit confusing here. I wasnt aware that TOs could enforce removal of trees. They can prevent through TPOs. From the pics it could be almost anything. Can you get closer pics pls.?
  4. I think i must have misunderstood your method here spud:confused1: The bar shouldnt move once it is tightened up!
  5. My mate has sourced this, but it is from a particularly pricey local supplier, and i said i would put some feelers out to see if anybody could help out.
  6. Dont think i will be able to do that- sorry.
  7. GUys i have a friend who has built the most indreible oak framed house over the last 4 years.....it is beyond belief, an homage to wood. It is nearly finished, but one of the things delaying it is the timber for one of the staircases. He needs very wide kilned hardwood for the treads. I have an extensive cutting list off him. If you think you are able to supply this, or may be interested in looking at it, then please could you send me a PM or call me on 07875046748, and we could have a chat. YOu would be part of possibly one of the most impressive and beautiful, eco friendly builds in the country of the last few years.
  8. I have been getting that too...thought it was an image size thing. Maybe not. Steeeeve.....heeeeelp......
  9. I have to say that on the two occasions that i had to return an item to FR Jonse and sons- a stein jacket that sprung a leak and some boots that fell apart prematurely, I was amazed at the service I got- none of the usual quibbling about who my contract was with or any of the usual nonsense that high street retailers usually fob you off with. I find it astonishing that you have found the service less than satisfactory. I have to agree with Steve Bulman too though.
  10. I am hoping that they will let me be there (they often do as i have been using them for 13 odd years now) and possibly even help, so if so, I will be getting pics.
  11. Crikey thats impressive!!!
  12. I spoke to the garage today (independent LR specialist since 1951) and they said it would be fine, seeing as that is all land rover have done for years and years (which is what explains the fact that all but the most reent 130's are plated as 110's). Mine would be a really eay job too as my tipper comes off so easily I could present them with a chassis cab. They have done this mod several times in the past (for English China Clay i guess, for whom they do all servicing work) and other than the expense of a propshaft (I had thought about what you suggested Peter, but apparently the 130 props are significantly bigger than 110) the only other bits would be fuel and brake lines and wiring loom. The more i think about this the closer i am getting to doing it. I think it is going to be a project for the new year....
  13. I would disagree here. Defenders are only marginally less efficient than most other 4x4s in the grand scheme of things. Anyway- you dont want one so thats that lol!
  14. As above really- the 346xp husqvarna is a superb mid range saw for good money. It is fast cutting, light to pick up and very powerful. If you want soemthing a bit bigger there are good offerings from both manufacturers here too- the MS362 stihl or the 357 husqvarna are similarly sized. IMO the ms391 or 291 are not preferred options as they are pretty agricultural in comparison to the pro saws, albeit the price reflects this. There are various suppliers on the right hande side of the screen here. You will have to make your first stihl or husqvarna purchase face to face due to both those companies' distance selling regulations, so you may want to find the closest supplier to you for that reason.
  15. Nice one.
  16. I would transfer the body straight over TBH. A tool store or king cab is what i want. You got any pics of your truck mate?
  17. Couldnt agree more.
  18. sweet then. I reckon i will get my garage to do it. They will do a standard chassis swap for about £600+vat in about 2 days, and mine would be less due to the fact that it would essentially be a chassis cab when they got it. Therefore I would get the whole job done for way under the cost of a new chassis and the swap. I reckon about a grand should do it, even with the staggering cost of 130 rear prop shafts!!
  19. So its not to do with the wall thickness of the chassis or anything then?
  20. From what you have listed there is no choice but a land rover!! Although land rovers are good at retaining their value (better than any other in fact) the repairs are VERY cheap, and whatever people say about them , they dont go wrong any more than any other 4x4 when put to the same work. Less in fact IMO as they are truly designed for the work. They are horrible though compared to driving other things which are more like cars.
  21. Ah well thats what i was interested to hear. Why do you say easier to stretch the 3.5 tonners?
  22. WOW huck thats seriously impressive!!! BTW i THINK that you are referring to cush drives, although there may be too many teeth on yours to qualify as one.
  23. Haha thanks....Did you give the fairy what he/she/it deserved?
  24. Rangers are cheap ish on parts if you can get them, and anecdotal evidence would suggest that the newer hiluxes are not a patch on the old ones as workhorses- they have compromised on the school run/ building site manager car attitude. I am dedicated to landrover (IME nothing comes close in toughness and ability to do the job, but this is irrelevant to your question) bub having had an old hilux and been near newer rangers, I would choose a ranger over the present toyota offerings, they just seem more utilitarian to me. That said, my land rover garage service all the vehicles that work in the cornish china clay industry (a harsher environment would be hard to find) and after 6 months on rangers they found them not to be nearly tough enough, and parts were a problem, so they went back to landrovers. My point being that rangers were the vehicle they chose to try in place of defenders.
  25. Good luck.
