  1. :laugh1: Hope you heal fast Mark.
  2. I love it. I HATE those things- they make everywhere look totally 'surrey'...(which is fine in surrey i guess lol)
  3. Nah- bring it up- yhe workshop has just been tidied too.....
  4. Bring it up here Bri- we'll have the flywheel out and attack it with that dirty great arc welder in the workshop....
  5. Microlight- thats a great description. I heard one above the noise of the (idling) engine on the mill one day. I thought something had gone wrong until i saw it flying about!!
  6. Thats a steep hill.....how does the train stay on the tracks???
  7. You say that, but the engine was free from a scrap roller, and it cost me £438 to have it fitted by an ag engineer. Its an air cooled deutz, so unlesss i run it with no oil it will never die, and in 7 years i have replaced the lift pump for £82. Parts are as easy if not easier to get than kohler too. I have 2 outlets for deutz les than 25 mins from me.
  8. Or maybe i didnt read it properly!! You are right though. Are the fins detachable on a TW then? I have a vermmer with fins that are part of the flywheel.
  9. Its usually caused by either air in the line, which running the tap presssure through with the trigger depressed and the machine switched off will usually sort out, or dirt in the nozzle, often caused by poking at the dirt with the lance....it should clear itself in time though.
  10. You should clean the mating faces of the blade/ flywheel evrey time you change them as a matter of course, and torque them too really.
  11. I reckon that the ants have moved in after something else has made those holes. They look like the sort of holes i see quite a few of when milling, and there is usually a big fat grub in them. I have come across wood wasp larva in larch (i dont think that yours is that) and in hardwoods esp oak I have seen what i think may be goat moth larvae, which make holes similar to yours. edit- i have just read the wood wasp suggestions......i have only seen this in larch sapwood. Didnt know they attacked other woods.
  12. Sorry to hear that. Is it insured?
  13. Has it done high hours mate- thats piss poor!!!!
  14. OMFG did you lose a blade or summat?
  15. And when you have run it and your PC is good to go, get rid of that crap AVG and get Eset Nod32. YOu will be able to look at anything yiou like and will never get viruses/ popups, spyware etc again.
  16. Are you seriously moving the barn???? Didnt you only recently build it?
  17. You can expect a congratulatory slap on the back from your mates, and a few beers to celebrate.......is that what you meant LOL? sorry.
  18. Its made by castrol Thanks Jobn- thought you may be able to shed some light. :blushing:although im not sure what some of those words mean:blushing:
  19. Heres a little on Nods site...Treeworker Blog
  20. Very funny mate....(groaning lol) Isnt the stihl red stuff fully synthetic. I was told that the stihl stuff is made of a suspension of microscopic ball bearings, which is what allowed the increases in mix ratio to 50:1. Clarification anyone??
  21. Yeah you do have to keep the width in mind. I havent experienced any probs, and have been up over kerbs even, but i reckon the extra weight of the engine balances it a bit more.
