Your side Ds are not designed to be loaded in the vertical plane. And on the snap hook debate I would pass them under LOLER if they were working properly. Personally I dont like them.

You could try Ken Sneddon at Civic trees. They have done alot of airspade work and Hampshire is not too far for them

Check the carb again see if it has the plastic bung pressed into the face of the carb, if it has it is most likely sucking air through there it is factory fitted so not repairable. -

I always insist on a climbing interview. I want to judge all the candidates fairly and taking different people opinions can t do that. NPTC are just a guide one of the best climbers I ever employed did nt have any when he started for me, I ve also had guys with more cert s than I knew what to do with that were total crap. Go in and be yourself work as you usually would if your a reasonable climber you should be ok. GOOD LUCK
