Thanks for the replys!i were going to look in to a bandit!i have herd alot of good things about the cuttingedge!i hire a ryco 1625 jnr nd it never comes with sharp teeth theres always sumthing rong with it!theres no were else local to hire them! it's just finding 1 at the right money but its like anything you get what you pay for

Hi I've been given a job near Stafford on a estate around fields crown raising some medium fells it's said to be 5 days work I'm just wondering if there's a unimog and chipper owner driver that fancys a weeks work and what sort of day rate would u be looking for?the tip site is on the estate so not alot of trverling!or if anyone has a unimog and chipper to hire out I no that's unlikely Bt worth an ask I have alot of experience with them thanks for reading if there's anyone on here fancys it just let me no cheers
  12. Thanks for the repleys it's 2.5 acre clear fell don't get to go on here much!not a massive job but works work!av to sell the wood for the customer bit of a funny 1 I'd only say its best to av a forwarder coz of ground been a slope
  13. would say 60% is over 18inch.was thinking of hand felling but was just seein how much a harvester was to get in nd jst gettin the job knocked out
  14. proberly sell it roadside.us fell it and get a contractor with a forwarder to taker it to roadside
  15. hi ive looked at a job in barnsley it is problerly bout 2 acers of ash and sycamore with a little bit of cherry in 1 corner the diameter is from 8 inch to 24 inch all very straight.im just wondering about selling it open to offers and also hireing a forwarder to get it all to roadside and may be a harvester for felling does anyone no a contractor in the area with these services cheers mark

Hi what sort of size mog are u lookin at?we had a 1200 turned up from 120 to 160 and it was so much better!becareful of the gear boxes they r dear make sure u can select gears easy!between 4th nd 5th it's a different box which changes on air!make sure the cabs are in good condition and clutch put it in 1st put ur foot on the brake put a few revson nd let the clutch up it should stall hope this helps u if there's anything else jst ask that mog of mine pulled 8ton chipper nd a full load fairly easy!

  19. Would this be useful to any body out there 10inch tracked timberwolf chipper with or with out operator £110 per day with out operator.can be delivered to site anywere!
  20. hi peter the bob cat is a good 1 nd is set up with high flow and coolant so is rite for the stump grinder and mulcher ive seen them used at the apf there a realy good peice of kit. realy good for understore clearence work. and vegitation clearence. just thort id put a post on here see if there could be a use for them for anyone on here as for rates think would be some were round £30-£70p/h dependin on what it was usd for.
  21. hi a mate of mine has a tracked bobcat amd is may be looking in to getting a mulcher and a stumpgrinder for it hes got bucket and grab for it and is very handy on alot of jobs av jst put this up for him to see if theres any work out there for this set up and if the pice was rite would anybody use it? thanks for reading mark
  22. if ur employed and can keep ur job id stay there if i were u unless u have 4 or 5 companys intrested in using you offten. with the way things r goin jobs are only going to get tighter and harder to find work

    Unimog

    i run a u1200 is a realy gud piece of kit with a tp 200 chipper on it. running a chipper all day with a bit of driving about at a push with 3 lads most loads we av dun in a day is about 14 and that used 60 liters of red diesel on average it wil drink 30-50 liters.free road tax and £850 for insurance but i am only 24 and thats for any driver. mite be for sale in january if ny1 is intrested. bt 1 thing with a mog dont expect jst ny1 to drive it and it will b ok i mainly drive mine nd dont av ny troubel with it. lads that rive at changing gear nd ride the clutch dont put the pto in properly thats were problems start pluse keep it wel serviced and it wont let u down
