  3. With out going into too much detail I recently sat an exam paper where there was a question which asked to describe an inboard, outboard and in line step cut and why they are used. I have complained about this because it was not in the knowledge requirements of the unit. The exam board told me I would be able to get this from BS3998 . I have looked and can't see any mention of step cuts in BS3998. Thanks in advance if you can help Steve
  4. As far as I am aware it is only a recommendation to do a refresher (please can we not get into this one again)

  6. Friend of mine has one the main problem is the hopper is way too high and almost impossible to clear blockages.

  11. You would have to pay tax on all the extra you earn if you have used up your tax allowance. But obviously you can claim for kit and stuff.

  13. My mate took it back to where he got it with a load of brash and told the salesman to chip it. He got so cheesed off he gave my mate a refund.
  14. About 3 weeks i reckon with that chipper, friend of mine had 1 said it was only good for broom handles.

  16. Not had any experience of the 181 but have a couple of ms170 and cant fault them for what they are. Compared to a B & Q special the 181 will be a lot better saw.
  17. TY for advice Steve makes so much difference getting your body in the right position. As my trainer said get your eyes and balls in line with the hinge and your half way there.
  18. Need to get some practice in with Borng cuts go my CS32 test in a couple of weeks. Love the crack thouse forward leans make when they go.
