  1. What make is it Steve looks a handy bit of kit.
  2. My old boss used hovercraft skirt on his flail hedge cutters, sure there is plenty of them kicking around Leeds. Failing that you could use that heavy duty rubber mattress saver on your bed Ian.
  3. No sadly not was a the back of the castle
  4. passed it even
  5. Thanks for all the advice chaps passed it today.
  6. Hands off what Ian? My cuddly toy.
  7. Went to look at a job in the week, woman who answered the door said her husband would be 5 min. 5 mins after the Son came out and said his dad would be 5 mins., 5 mins later I left.
  8. Alway amazes me when people phone up in the day time when my wife is in, and they are amazed I'm not in. What do the think people sit by the phone waiting for it to ring.
  9. Well it is the only day he works:001_tt2:
  10. Plate both sides if possible, would get it done by a pro. If I did it, it would look like seagulls had dive boomed it
  11. Had a call this morning at 7am. Was a regular customer she said "sorry to bother you but when you come around next time can you prune the Jasmin in the front garden" Was all I could do not to be rude to her, what planet are some people on:sneaky2:.
  12. 50% pass I got 45% I could opt for a re-mark but it is £100 or the re-sit is 50%.
  13. They all found it had top pass mark was 57% I think
  14. Thats exactly what I want cheers.
  15. Cheers the both of you I was thinking NFU myself
  16. Just wondered if there is anyone in my position. I would classy myself as a general gardener, carrying out general garden and grounds maintenance along with fencing. On my PL insurance it saw i am not covered for tree felling, lopping and crop spraying. I am looking for insurance to cover me for small tree work such as pruning small trees with expendable pruners, felling small trees no bigger than 5m, removing and topping conifer hedges. I have my CS30, and CS31. I have also done my PA1 and PA6 and would like to get into weed control. What I want is a company where I can speak to someone explain exactly what I do and get the right cover. Cheers Steve
  17. Studied at college, way i revised was to work my way through the knowledge requirements. Done this with the soil paper last year and got 78% (maybe its just sour grapes on my part). I see your point about practical knowledge, but last year we had a bloke on our course who was a builder looking to get into tree work and had never even picked p a saw. I know i will get no where with ABC they just wont give me a straight answer about where I could have got the information to answer the question. We have too tree surgeons on our course and they only achieved a pass mark. Thanks about the CS32
  18. You would know all about a bad pint:001_tt2:
  19. Are you windy miller?
  20. Was there a hint of sarcasm in there:001_smile:
  21. This was the L2 cert in arb, one of my points was if you are doing these cuts you would have the relevant CS unit. This question was on paper 2. IMO there is enough they could ask you on in the core of the subject.
  22. Cheers
  23. Cheers for that Mick thought thats where I would find it. But those booklets are not in our course material. My argument is just you should only be asked questions on stuff not in the course material. Sorry wont be able to make it on Sunday got my CS32 assessment on Saturday and better spend some time with the wife at the weekend.
  24. No I have not done my CS39, they told me step cuts were explained in BS3889 which is my argument. Just wanted a few peoples opinions before I make an official complaint.
