  2. can you winch it back into the wood between the big pine and that wee beech.
  3. looks like no one rescued my horse. lol
  4. you probably loosened it dragging the brash over the wall. bit of sawdust, bit of moss off the grass. all fixed. proper job
  5. if its a turfor it works in both directions. you could lower the whole tree for a laugh. i would think its pretty chewy. but to be honest if its standing give it a few kicks then get up it. keep us posted mate
  6. if i am going to try that i will say mr smith recomends felling, grinding out the stumps. all material stays on site as habitat and replant with pops and willow in a trench of horse shite:001_tongue:
  7. hi mate, did you send me a card. i couldnt make out the signature?

  8. i have lost count the amount of times i have done that. its when some old person leaves a message on the answer machine but you can hardly make it out except for the surname. so when the wee lady answers and i say is that mrs smith, and she says yes, then i say i think mr smith must have called me today. then she bursts out crying explaining mr smith has been dead for 4 years. try backtracking out of that.
  9. i have seen attachments for chainsaws mat, cant remember where. most probably u tube mate.
  10. it looks like you guys are working in woodland, cant you just drop stuff? when you say snatch do you mean lower? i do as little lowering as possible, make a bed with the brash as you go up, knock the head out, and just cut and drop onto your pile. or if there is room crank it over with the turfer. but really hard to say with pics, you guys obviously know what you are doing. tell me how your arms are after turfering all day.lol
  11. was there no way of doing that without climbing it?looks dodgy mate. turfer?
  12. i used to make my own, but i missed the trip to the chainsaw shop. for all i go through i would rather go a run.
  13. chipping sycamore when its cold and snowing. whippy on the fingies. ouch!!
  14. what is your concern? the river banking or the species? willow is great to work with, cuts like butter and is nice and chewy.
  15. i have a chain breaker and riveter if anyone is interested i also have an electric chain sharpener with loads of discs. its the grinder with the clamps. it came from a hire shop that closed down. open to offers. i will take pics tomorrow.
  16. i will give it a try coz it is a pain in the ass trying to balance the saw on its side and there isnt much metal to get a grip of with the ratchet.cheers.
  17. hard standing made out of concrete, lucky man.
  18. i have a big tractor instead now and no staff. i dont work as far a field as i used to either. but even if i do sell it i will probably get a u1200.
  19. frank will be gutted you bet him to it:001_tongue:
  20. mogs are great mate:001_smile:
  21. well chuffed with geckos, tried them out today for about 4 hrs. comfier than a comfy thing, my only quibble would be the buckle type piece of metal where the footstrap goes through could of done with a little swivel on it, the strap bunches up when you tighten it, but apart from that they are excellent. well recomended guys:001_smile:
  22. ooouuuccchhhh!! that has got to hurt the poor little saw. never tried that, knowing my heavy handed touch i would smash the engine to bits:001_smile:
  23. good tip mate, i scored a piston on my 088 before.
