  1. I bought my first Echo in 1999, altho used one from 1994; the HC2300 hedgecutter; still in perfect condition, starts on the second pull after years of not being started. Doesn't see a lot of use as I treasure it so much, I use a newer one in case I hurt it! This from the days of Echo GB in Oxford, pre Yamabiko, pre Countax agency. Wonderful days. Long live Kioritz!
  2. ha, you're funny.
  3. Absolutely horrendous. A genuine reason to emigrate. How come there's any rain left in the flippin sky?!

  5. FANTASTIC!!! I had one of them; H reg 1.6, Sorrento Green, guilty of putting 1-9 alloys on it... I'm restoring a couple of retros at the minute, love that era
  6. Dragging the winch cable uphill through stumps and brash in a hail storm...
  7. So; Angela Merkels' open door policy backfires within a few weeks of promoting it whilst the UK was labelled heartless... Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature... Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore... At that point the frog decides to jump out... The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature... Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? Many of us would say the boiling water... But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out. We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to confront/face. There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action... If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so... We have to decide when to jump. Let us jump while we still have the strength. Think on it !!
  8. That about sums it up. Takes 1/2 hour to do up my laces!

  12. Avatar included!
  13. What do you need two arborists for? Is there climbing work to be done? Sounds more woodland management than tree surgery... The latter will cost a lot more.
  14. Milkman, Rag & Bone Man, Vicar, Tailor (out of London), Cobbler...
  15. Hahaha. Oh dear. It's ok, all they're planting now is Hawthorne, pear, cherry, willow, spindle, walnut, dogwood, blackthorn, pampas grass, elder; all perfect habitat for hippies. Imported timber will be just fine, hell yeah.
  16. There aren't enough trees anywhere! Particularly conifers; UK needs to plant 12,000 hectares of productive woodland per year over the next 25 years; nothing like that being planted up...
  17. Same here in SW, same in S/E I'm told...
