    ropes ?

two years ago at a show i saw a company that sold end of reel ropes some 31m some 34m all odd lengths and all at a really good price but cant remember the name of the company, any one know of any, think they were from south somewhere, trawled the net but cant find them !
  4. hi, im just in front of you in this game, i did the 1 year nc then started the 2 year nd but only did 1 year and took the na , in the first year i got 450 quid for kit and 130 in the second year, as far as cs tickets go i got 30/31/38/39/chipper and mewp all for free if i wanted others all i had to pay was the test not the training, the lads who did the nc as i was doing the na only got 30 and 38 as it depended on funding year to year, i would defo start on a nc or na/nd and learn the basics, i couldnt belive how much there was to know about trees and am glad i started with the basics lol
  5. i just sent them an email last week about work and if my quals are recognised over there, still waiting to hear back .
  6. some good stuff so far, i havnt got HGV but if its cheap enough to do it out there then i'l look at that aswell. just need some pennies now to get out there for a holiday !
  7. haha rednecks, that made me chuckle, yea think im gonna take a holiday first maybe a month over there see whats what, cant think of anything better than being hours away from the next town or even person, ahh bliss
  8. i just spoke to my friend 2 days ago and he said about the 100% mortgage , when did they scrap that ? also said if i take a job with maf or doc that was in he middle of nowhere i might get a house and vehicle of them, might be a good thing, hours away from anybody else sounds good to me.
  9. yea thats better and very helpfull thank you
  10. cheers bud but that link aint working
  11. yeah i realize money isnt everything but from what i've been told its cheaper to get a 100% mortgage than it is to rent so i just want peace of mind really, "bring your own gear" does that mean you cant get much out there or is it just a silly price ? also the life style out there is one of the main reasons i want to go, my friend over there moved there about 4 years ago and every thing he has told be about it makes me realize how rubbish this country is, i know the grass is always greener and all that but it sounds a lot better than here, of course i will visit first as a holiday maker but i think i have made up my mind.
  12. wow, well im thinking of moving over there for good, i have a friend who has agreed to sponsor me and put me up for the first year in Wellington, i want to know what the work situation is like over there and what wage to expect, ie; is there much tree surgery as we know it in the uk or is it more forestry. i've been on MAF, DOC and seek and seen a few jobs but there was no wage stated, is there any good advice/criticism for me ?
  13. any one on here from New Zealand or had any dealings with work out there ? could do with some advice !

    Help

what software are you using ? i use "spybot search and destroy" one of the best free ones out there in my opinion !
  22. i had some very similar to them a while back, i had one of those mini stereo's and a really old 400 w amp (made of wood still) and it worked a treat, neighbours didnt go much on them though !!!
  23. think im gonna do uni then either PD arb or tech cert or maybe both ! as for other little quals i also have some lantra tickets and a btec 1st in agri and hort engineering and an nvq 2 in amenity hort so should be well on my way with the quals side of things but as for practical experience, i realise it counts a hell of a lot but i am struggling to find any work round here , as my misses is preggers and due to drop in april moving isnt an option ! so i am gonna come unstuck there. hopefully i can find a bit of work when we get out of this recession !!!
  24. hi im 29 and relatively new to this game, you say you have the P.D.Arb ? is it worth having/doing ? , i have the NC arb I'm doing the NA arb now then uni (landscape design) for 3 years then i want to get back to arb by doing either the AA tech cert or the PD Arb. what do you think ,is there a better route?
