some of you may know i'm new ish to this forum and the arb world, after reading quite alot of posts on here i have realized i have only scratched the surface. in some of your posts you use some words i'm not familiar with ,could someone please translate some of the slang that you use, thanks all. zubat gaff/s - (spike's maybe) GRCS ddd trees and any others i should know please.

I have completed a nc level 2 at Cannington, have NPTC CS30,31,38 and 39 i also have cross-cut and maintenance and brushwood strimmer with lantra plus i have also done a btec 1st diploma in agri and hort engineering plus a nvq level 2 in amenity horticulture, really want to get some experience in the trees as a climber, if there is anyone in Somerset that could help me out it would be much appreciated, thanks , Jay

heard they where changing the tech cert to a level 4 next year so was gonna do the nd this year then go westonbirt next year for tech cert but also really need a job to get experiance .

is it worth doing the btec national diploma, i already have nc arb level 2, would it help much or would i be better off just getting a job and getting experiance ? anyone got any thoughts ?

hi i have just qualified from Cannington college and am 29 and based in highbridge (somerset),I am still stuck working in a warehouse at the moment :-( is there anyone out there that could give me a day or two work, i am available sat, tues and weds, I am unfortunately reliant on buses/trains at the moment but am willing to travel to where ever i can. i really want some experience in the trade so any help would be appreciated, thanks, Jay

is there any arb gear wholesellers in the uk? or europe? i can only find some in america!
