  2. I'm going to do my best to find a camp site so we can park up with our crew, cant beat bar b and beers at the end of the day. Has anyone else found anywhere? Joe -your reservation is booked, its going to be cosy in there mate!!!
  3. What would you predict the amount of sound wood at the base of this Ash? We recently undertook a Picus on a mature Oak on the boundary of a sports field with laetiporus and decided on a thin and reduction of the end weight of a large limb over a target - looking at the picture not sure if this was sufficient!
  4. Chin up John, there is always light at the end of the tunnel!...things may seem bad sometimes but there is always something round the corner! I think I'm too stubborn to allow stress to get hold of me, although it does get frustrating when machinery breaks down or jobs dont go right - hey if thats all we have to worry about then sa ne fair rien !
  5. ...in that case I'm not interested in the mog or roof mount!
  6. Not long enough!...could someone pick up that soap???
  7. No, in severe cases I think the punishment can be fine and imprisonment as its a criminal offence to take down a TPO tree.
  8. Worst case can also lead to imprisonment!
  9. In that case if you could drive it down to Coventry so I can take a look that would be great!
  10. quality mate, got any shots from the front - does he have shades on?!
  11. even grandma...at the right price!
  12. I agree, however gaining AAAC does demonstrate through examination that the company works within the laws to current legislations with insurances, qualified guys etc. etc. which gives procurement an easy task in selecting contractors as they are already vetted to a "standard" I have noticed tenders specified only AAAC contractors can be selected, I also applied to get onto a few council approved lists only to find there are only recommending approved contractors!
  13. Running 7.5 tonne and transits at the moment, are you selling the roof mount + tractor? Mike, I've looked at lorry mount but think we would need to run 10t + without being overloaded then have the problem of hgv licence etc...do you not find your overloaded?
  14. Currently having a machinery/logistical nightmare, we have a contract which is bringing in more medium-large fells and I need a "lifter/loader" as most of the timber is pretty accessable. the next issue is mog or tractor...roof mount or trailer mount.....etc. etc. Any help/advice would be ace!
  15. what have you got on the mog trailer?
  16. awsome mate....beats the hell out of looking at Coventry every day!
  17. I have looked at these cranes, does anyone have one or had experience with them? Fuelwood page
  18. If you want to go through anything pop in at the weekend and we can go over it, given the top notch guidance you've been given you should breeze through pal.
  19. weve just just ordered some printed ones from Welcome to Smartlift Bulk Packaging Ltd - Suppliers of Bulk Bags and Bulk Packaging They also do the ventilated log bags but the are nearly 3 times the price and we store ours under cover so didnt really see the need to pay extra. They are very helpfull (if not persistant!) and can be knocked down on price for qty.
  20. does it matter if you cant see a thing through them
  21. Maybe if we got more done during the contract there would be less of a rush and I wouldnt have to pay double at the end?! Mick I'd go double and then some for the bank hols mate, it splits up a nice long weekend!
  22. I'm toying with the idea of taking our horse lorry as it sleeps 4 in the living....reckon I could fit at least 10 in the horse area at the back!!! - £5er each and it might cover the diesel!
