  8. I,ve never had to rescue anyone thank heavens. But if the occassion ever occurred and at the end of the day when everyone is tired I think adrenalin would kick in and I,d be up there like a rat up a drain pipe.
  9. Youre not as photogenic as me hahahahahaha. I,ll make it up to you on Monday Rich. Cheers for youre help mate. You sarnie snaffler.
  10. Started the first two today. I went up first, then Rich in the afternoon. The owners of the site moved one van for us. Quite a windy day by the coast and in the wrong direction.
  11. LOL,youre right I need a bigger truck now. Ive got my eye on a rather nice Mog outfit.:001_tt1:Youres Dave haha. Having a look at an Iveco this weekend.
  12. I have a reasonable sized Ash to take down soon that is situated between two houses and on a small patch of ground that the public has access to, ie just the spot where kids will play. The housing association want it down to the ground and stump treated but I think it should be left at a metre high or ground out. Will I be breaking HSE guidelines/rules or what ever you call them if I take it to ground level as the housing association want it ?
  13. It,s how I got started 14yrs ago, I,m not saying I only have a grands worth of kit now I think its all to easy to spend alot on gear when you dont need it. If you want to start cheap then just buy as and when needed and not before. It worked for me.
  14. Youve got the basics already mate. Now all you need is a pick up, a friendly farmer that will let you pay per load to tip and burn, an add in YP and a thirty day account with a forestry supplier so you can have tools for the work as it comes in, and then pay for them when you have been paid. And like SWB says insurance isnt expensive on a monthly basis. I reckon you could get started for a grand.
  15. Nice bit of bread n butter work there Dean, looks good. Couldnt they afford to trim back the other side aswell ?
  16. I would buy one of these.http://www.rvs.com/rvsales/truck-camper/12/

  19. Come on Stevie, lets see the pics of this arm threatening injury. I bet you nicked it with youre darning needle truth be known. Chortle chortle tee hee.
  20. .......Well said Flarris.
  21. How about looking at it from a different angle. Let the deer eat what they fancy and leave what they dont. The woods would change a bit but thats what happens naturally, if you stop them roaming on youre land where else will they go. If I owned land I would love to see free range game on it, with the added bonus of taking something for the larder.
  22. Thanks for the offer Josh but I wouldnt have time to be to and fro the train station.
  23. You,ll have problems with those Sycamore if you prune them before they are in full leaf. They,ll bleed.
  24. Grantown on Spey.
  25. Dymchurch lol. Seriously though, after seeing all the pictures of Scotland on here, thats where I,d go. I,ve been there plenty of times but to see it again is a pleasant reminder.
