  1. Have you got any batteries and chargers you don’t want?
  2. They do look good. Another great vid.
  3. 18 years mate.
  4. And that’s just the brass!

  6. I’m sure I’ll find loads of uses for it and regret not buying a stubby, obviously.
  7. It doesn’t mate, not for what I intend.
  8. I’m sure it’s great, but that’s nearly another small saw!
  9. This is great stuff fellas, thanks. Sounds like the cheapo Makita, a torque stick, and back up with the Teng is the way forward. There is a worrying video on Youtube where the cheapo Makita won’t bust nuts until they’re only torqued to about 100Nm, despite Makita claiming about 300Nm of busting power.
  10. How bad is the risk of over-torque without a torque stick?
  11. Does anyone use torque sticks to get the right setting quickly? I have a decent Teng torque wrench to check things.
  12. Of course. Happy to consider other brands. I’m fully trisexual.
  13. A recent conversation with @Blah on a mini loader thread got me thinking about an impact wrench for quick wheel changes. It’s definitely a want rather than need item, I’ve got by for over half a century without one. I’ve got Makita gear already, so just buying a bare unit is appealing. Prices go from about £90 up to north of £300. I think the torque settings on my Worky Quad wheel nuts are about 135Nm, but need to confirm this. The cheaper models top out at 190Nm, which SHOULD be plenty, but I would like to be sure. The pricey ones go up to 1000Nm, but I’m not working on CAT dozers. Any input welcome, or bargain other brand suggestions. Thanks.

  15. Agreed. I’m very jealous of my mates mk7 porn storage options. My mk6 is very minimalist. 1 flip down cup holder which annoys the dogs and can barely hold a couple of cans of Stella.

  17. They exist Doug. They looked at the immigrant thing and thought ‘We’re out’, then left. The thing is is @Johnsond gets a bad press on here from a lot of you all the time, but the truth is on immigration he’s spot on. It will ruin our country, and within our lifetime. Our kids will be screwed unless we sort it out, and fast. ’Import the third world, get the third world’. FASCIST! FAR RIGHT! RACIST! How about FACT?
  18. It is a gamble mate, but the occasional £1k kick in the nuts feels less painful than getting one every month!

  20. Easier on those days because far less trains will be running.
  21. Taking out any vegetation (trees or shrubs) that infringe, or are about to, on trackside locations.
  22. I’ve had TO’s that wouldn’t sanction the removal of a manky 50 year old HC 6’ from a 300 year-old house ‘until it displayed visible evidence of cracking’. They didn’t seem to give a toss about future blame or ramifications. My current TO who is a pragmatic tree guy who used to be on the tools. We have a great working relationship. I would disagree with you Mick, but only slightly. It does depend on the TO.
  23. Thanks Blah. You’re spot on about my current tyres. I’m getting the all-tracs.
