  1. I don’t think so Mick. It was a kids football match yesterday, then a shop today on Remembrance Sunday. That was my lot, apart from wearing a poppy for the last week. I don’t see it as a big ask really.
  2. Perfectly observed minutes silence before my daughters game yesterday. Then today we were in a really busy Tesco getting some last minute bits for tea tonight, and The Last Post came on the tannoy. It finished at the stroke of 11, and the shop just stopped. Nobody moved or made a sound for a full two minutes. Choked me up a bit tbh, and made me feel very proud. We will remember them.
  3. 6-hour slow cooked man-chilli. Stewing steak instead of mince. An idea that @Joe Newton passed on to me. Add the beans for the last 30 minutes or they turn to sludge!
  4. My only gripe with my Worky Quad is that the traction is sometimes a bit poor on mud or wet grass. I have the standard industrial tyres. I’ve been offered a set of all-tracs (inc wheels) which are meant to be great off road. Soft compound, so I’d have to chop and change a bit for yard work or hard standing jobs. Does anyone have any experience of them?

  6. I would imagine they will suddenly become very popular though!
  7. I’ve never worked out why king cabs aren’t more popular. They would tick far more boxes for me.

  10. Forgot to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. Every bit of help is appreciated.
  11. I think we all want Tyson to properly spark him really early. BUT we’ve all got this vision of a 20-year old Tyson. He was a beast. You quickly forget that he wasn’t particularly effective towards the end of his career, and that was over 20 years ago! Time waits for no man. I hope he still has enough of what he once had in spades to get the KO. As Les says though, it’s all about the money, so who knows?
  12. All fitted, oiled up and tested. £150 cash. Hopefully be good for another 18 years.
  13. It’s under copyright you fool.
  14. Gotta love a big gape!

  19. On a three day job at the minute which the unbelievably dry weather has made a joy. 100m long garden with the bulk of the work at the bottom. WQ and chipper down the lawn without using any boards. A couple of weeks back you would have needed a hovercraft. Everything staying in the ‘wild’ area. Most challenging aspect was getting an overstood cob stand over a 10’ deep gulley. High crane point in an ash saved the day! 8e6adaf9-ef19-44a7-bdac-307a258e0f8f.mov
  20. No Reuben, it’s not. Last week would have been a good time.
  21. Fit it. It’s the only one left and they may not want to split it!
  22. Delivery from VFS today. It’s the whole kit and caboodle, tank and all. I was expecting a separate motor!
  23. I can confirm Aunt Bessie’s mix sticks like shit to a blanket!
