  1. To be fair, the traffic yesterday was as good as I’ve ever had it, apart from that shithole of a mess Dartford that cost us over an hour. Just cracked a can, quick bit of wrapping, then start making a Jalfezi with the kids while Mam relaxes with a large G&T. Cheers!
  2. Already arrived at Mam’s in Northumberland mate, with a bit of help from Chris yesterday! 370 from Kent in 7.5 hours fully loaded with dogs and kids. Outlaws arriving tomorrow so it’s all coming together!
  3. Fair play for jumping into action for them mate. Merry Christmas!
  4. They have been ripped off because they were told it was 7 tonnes
  5. Fair point John. If that was cut, split and put into nets it would start to look like bargain of the century compared to garage prices. ’A snail is a diamond to the eye of a duck’.
  6. I do loads on my own my, but ‘proper’ climbing like that just doesn’t make any sense solo for a variety of reasons. The price is irrelevant as to how many men and toys you bring to a job, it’s worth what it’s worth.
  7. I think 2 loads in a 3.5t truck doesn’t make 7t! Probably more like 2t there. Looks like quite nice stuff, but if I could make £150 for a Tranny load of unprocessed green cord I’d be a happy man.
  8. Still dragging the brash.
  9. Tom’s was pretty high spec. Lovely work. Thread in here is ‘Tipper body manufacturer Shropshire’ in arb trucks.
  10. I don’t think that price is too far off in todays money, but a lot would depend on how you want it specced out. @Treetom15 has just had his done by Kirklands in Stoke and might be able to help.
  11. Full report please!
  12. If someone headbutted your house and damaged their face would that be your fault as well?
  13. I’ve got Just Wears, which are pretty similar. Can’t be doing with cheapo scratchy pants where the elastic goes within a few months.
  14. So I married her.
  15. I had similar Mick, I just couldn’t go out with her any more.
  16. It’s not the tree. It’s the fuckwits who built the garage near a 100 year old tree.
  17. Apparently, this never actually happened, but it’s still a great story!
  18. The Smiths were pure genius for me, so is The Boss. It’s good we all like different stuff, though. How boring life would be if we were all the same? Stubs and Steve, if you’re going to quote Morrissey’s brilliant lyrics at least get them right! Re The Beatles - My favourite Beatles story is that at the height of Beatlemania, a reporter said to John Lennon - ‘Ringo Starr. Is he the best drummer in the world?’ John said - ‘Mate, he’s not even the best drummer in The Beatles!’
  19. Maybe I’ve been hard on a few bands. One genius song like U2’s ‘One’ makes up for a lot of shite. Even The Pogues have loads of songs I don’t like. All of the bands previously mentioned in this thread are 1000% better than the crap that is currently out there though.
  20. DD I’d strongly disagree with. They’ve consistently performed good tunes for decades. C&D were a comedy act.
  21. Brave man. And I totally agree. Like Floyd and Genesis. A few nuggets of utter brilliance surrounded by utter shite.
  22. Just buy a second hand one from eBay or Marketplace. There are loads of good deals on nearly new stuff from gardeners and landscapers who have chased the easy tree money, then found it’s not that easy. I know, it’s not fair. All the other guys have big saws, trucks, chippers, yards, tickets, insurance etc. Or he good get advice on his climbing course? Pretty pointless using him commercially without tickets? Can you see where I’m going with this?
  23. Point taken mate, this will be regularly checked. Full beans when I pulled it out today, according to the readout. A very valid point though, they will all fail at the first hurdle if not fully charged.
  24. How dare you accuse me of self discharge, Sir.
  25. Crashed into a sycamore tree. Bang on forum topic!
