The Techlite ones are utter shite and best in the bin anyway. The X-Force that Skyland supplied mine with has been brilliant.

Don’t rely on any container. You need layers, then more layers. Then probably more. Sadly, I totally disagree with Vedhogger about insurance. That’s your only bulletproof layer (read the small print).

Helpful Advice Please from SRT Climbers...

All good advice so far. All I can offer is don’t do what I used to and try and take big steps to ascend. It sounds counterintuitive but taking little steps will get you up the tree quicker. -

Els reckons they are really comfy, and they do look nice and light for climbing. Probably just a knack to master putting them on as Treevolution says, they’ve got some kind of ‘sock’ thing to keep sawdust out of your boots.

Even if it’s an ag spec machine I’m pretty sure you’d be on dodgy ground unless you are doing pure forestry or agri work. Someone like @Justme might come up with a more conclusive answer.

Our lass has got them. They are really hard to pull on, she snapped the tab within a week and Arbortec reckoned she’d abused them. Seeing as you can break a ball bearing I’d give them a swerve.

It’s a tough one for sure Alec. As you seem to be one of the most intelligent, reasonable and level-headed people on here I’m not sure I can help much! Mike’s idea of a registered letter is pretty sound, although ‘received’ and ‘opened and read’ can be different things. Maybe try calling from a different number? Yours may have been put on the ‘hassle I can’t deal with filter’. If you can get the opportunity to explain the situation I’m sure you can do it with diplomacy and tact, given the circumstances. Like Alex, I’d avoid solicitors if at all possible. Last resort territory for me. Good luck with it mate.

Bore vertically down the centre of the ring with a saw at least halfway. Drop a wedge into the bore cut and smack the wedge in with a sledge or back of maul. This should halve the ring. Repeat on the halves if necessary. Things should get easier after that, especially if you knock logs of the edges rather than trying to halve the whole piece every time.

Yes, sorry meant 57 DL chain, the standard 56 DL for the 150 won’t fit.
