  1. I think that's marvelous[emoji91][emoji91][emoji91] short and sweet.Great quality promo and an efficient looking outfit.
  2. Fantastic progress Rupe! I find swimming so theraputic and quite low impact but gives great results long term....My leg day was today BigJ..Pyramid reps..37-90kg and back down.Find it pretty easy.Been cycling a lot this last year.
  3. I reckon it's a great idea moving on to something new Steve.Using all your experience and ploughing it into something cutting edge like Web design.I've always wanted a Website, may need one this year.I can't think of anyone i'd rather call on than your good self.
  4. That made me smile through my gruelling leg workout [emoji23].....so much for rest day. At least the rest of me can relax. We can always count on You or Bolam to see the funny side of life....I will get where i aim to be.For me it's all about the climb and i am a bit obsessed with seeing it done safely. As i always say,"Good work position is everything!"
  5. Look forward to hearing what you think then....
  6. Now that is an excellent reply! Thanks for that[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  7. Yesterday i had an in depth phone conversation with LANTRA..i'm a bit torn between the two (NPTC being the other).I am dead set on becoming an instructor/assesor in whatever capacity and last year the money i saved on going to the pub etc.. i put aside for any courses i may need to take so that is there as and when i need it.This is not going to be a quick process. However when i set my mind to do something, nothing stops me.Doing one then the other might be the way to go.Whatever i decide i need to gain a recognised teaching/training qualification so that will be step one.I've heard of Train the Trainer but if anyone can advise me of others that would be greatly appreciated.... A friend of mine at my last job asked me if i was interested in a jacket he had won at a comp. He had never worn it but he thought i would rather like it and i was after something i could call my "Training jacket". I liked that idea a lot.I saw it and knew it was perfect for my future dream.I gave him some money for it as he was really kind in offering it me.It fits like a glove and is really well designed.I wouldn't expect anything less from Pfanner.I even match the fox they sent me!
  8. I could show you a comparisson picture but if you get one tommorow you will be very pleased.Excellent choice and please let us know what you think. If you are using up a height and cant free fall a cut or can't position your hand at a safe distance on a held section then flip a sling around it. You won't get cut if you use it correctly. And never put so much pressure at the finnish of the cut or the saw will follow through which is a common mistake.Used with safety in mind they are the true Arborist's precision tool.Happy cuttin'[emoji269]
  9. The first handsaw i ever bought which was well over 20 years ago and would be my first choice everytime without question, would be the Silky Nakanoto 60.I regard this as the Legend amongst Silky's.Finest SK4 Carbon steel i have uses this amazing saw instead of a top handle on many occasions. You can produce fast precision cuts.Rapid and Aggresive. My number one choice......But in amswer to the original post,i would suggest Zubat Arborist Pro....[emoji269]
  10. This guy cracks me up...https://youtu.be/Bnh1Pj-vIS8
  11. It's nice to be back.I've missed this place......
  12. Ok...Far more aggressive. I'm 100% certain this little beauty is the answer.I haven't yet as it was my leaving gift from Premier Trees and may become an expensive keepsake. The Zubat Arborist Proffessional.Larger teeth than the bog standard will certainly fly through branches.I like to think i'm an expert when it comes to handsaws. It is my favourite of all our Arboricultural armoury. And cut and hold is my favourite pruning discipline.I'll stake my reputation that this will be a contender!
  13. It's certainly very workable with a bowline,i've climbed several times on it but a spliced eye simplifies everything about the ZigZag experience...I love them.Been using the ZigZag 4 quite a bit over the last few months and if that goes into production could become equally as popular.
  14. Put the roller under the muscle you want to target. It massages and opens up the fibres which promote recovery.
  15. Anyone else enjoy a roll up after training?[emoji6]
  16. Exactly what Steve said.I avoid any contact with my Zig Zag and the tree. When climbing up to anchor once the ZZ is anywhere near making contact then the lanyard takes over, and the next throw is made higher up....When blocking down the stem use a false anchor for the Zz to run through.
  17. Last day of training before rest day so one hour(ish)....moderate weight..plenty of reps.EVERYTHING TO FAILURE.
  18. Thanks for the advice!....This is a great thread.Though to be fair...My muscles just seem to be growing....and growing..especially Chest...shoulders and my triceps are my most successful body part to date..
  19. I have a big reduction to do this week at some time and i need to look into getting familiar with NPTC.Tommy B sent me a great link.It changes my direction slightly but i am free to do whatever i want and i am highly motivated right now.
  20. Left sleeping beauty and headed off to the Gym... rest day tommorow so i'm going to go for a full body workout...Feel very happy today?
  21. I know i've said it before but being T-total means that when i wake up on the morning after the night before,i feel fresh as a daisy![emoji272][emoji272][emoji272][emoji41]
