  6. Haha!...serious-ish. I'm a bit shell shocked after losing my Pick up,but rather suprised how much i am enjoying this car.I knew nothing about Skoda until this week.I bought it from a family friend who had it from new.It will get me to my Trainer's course in a couple of weeks and allow me to travel around.
  7. That was an important week.I couldn't let the loss of my truck slow down my momentum,i've got things to do!....Found myself a car. It's comfortable, has hands free plenty of room and a sunroof.Had a week to get used to it.Very happy.
  8. But that's not the end of it....I may have arrived (almost) in my Navara but i am afraid i am leaving on a train.I've had two weeks to get over it.....After four years of service and many adventures my beloved Pick up died at the very end of the hard shoulder late at night before my first day of work.It got me as close as it could.15 miles from my Brothers house. So to cut a long story short.Brother came and found me.Towed me with his Citroen picasso.Got one hours sleep....borrowed my sister in law's Focus and raced to the Yard and got there with one minute to spare. My Brother's mechanic checked it over.In a nutshell it would be a very expensive bill to get it back on the road. Was Gutted but i'm a realist.Crack on.And remember it was from an Arbtalk member so it was very sentimental.
  9. The sea is such a part of who we are on this Island. All this going on at once in this small harbour.
  10. Before you leave get an ice cream from Betty's my brother said. They're a bit special.
  11. In the distance i can see a Rig supply ship bobbing about.....I like moments like this...Peace and and Tranquility.
  12. Drinking a final toast to Scotland. Now i'm T-total i've had to choose the next best thing.A favourite childhood drink of mine i always remember "Made in Scotland from Girders!" Foggy here now...but i have had 12 days of Sunshine sunshine whilst here.
