  1. Did some birch removals myself.Newest recruit Ryan likes taking pictures so i get to appear on my thread...
  2. What a warm week...can't believe it's October! Teamed up with New lads Matty and Ryan all week which has been great.New staff full of positivity and ideas is always a good thing abd has changed the dynamic here a Premier...more interviews this week and a position of Contracts Manager (hopefully another friend from our college class of 96) which would be amazing!.....Matty has settled in well now and is a great climber...an interesting start to the week found us at the old horse stables in Stuart Park.Some great old buildings around a tree to deadwood....so much came out but the courtyard will be a safer place for it.
  3. I have slept in your bed Egg....but not spooned😆😆 but that's another story. Tree work is almost a way of life to some and the lines between work and pleasure are often very blurred.labour of love...i'm off to bed (my own) tommorow is Funky Friday...we get to play with chainsaws and trees...get paid.....then go to the pub where the boss get's the beers in! Goodnight y'all😉
  4. I hear what you're sayin Mr Egg my friend but i know of plenty of folk "myself included" who would say that treework is their life...it's the first thing i think about in the morning and certainly the last thing at night....sad but true.
  5. Certainly experience brings confidence and ability...and we do blank out peripheral white noise and go into auto pilot.
  6. I climb much smarter and smoother....prefering to utilise a pulleysaver and ZigZag to make climbing easier. My age hasn't changed my steady approach only the equiptment i use

  8. I have actually been in the same room as Jon when he was watching police,camera action....Sonia was getting a running commentary whilst she was in the kitchen...😆 rather commical. You would be a natural John...but think you should get your own show and call it...."Plogglebox".....😆😆

  10. They certainly are large wishbones David....The house we were at was built in the 1800's and the bones were put in the grounds at around that time...

  14. Great to see someone so enthusiastic....i'm lucky to feel like that about my job every day but when i meet likeminded folk (Arbtalkers) it just makes me so happy.
