  6. Went into Gustharts yesterday determined that i wouldnt buy the Arbpro jacket at about £75 so i could save money for the APF.Told myself i would buy a single Clip Carabiner for all purpose tool attatchment...nothing else.Difficult considering they have a few of my favourite things.
  7. Yes Mr Chops....we mechanize wherever we can.A lot of mulching over the last few weeks has brought the Valtra out.
  8. It gives a Super straight cut and makes a great sound as it cuts.Beats doing it with a saw.And with a good opperator it all falls one side.Don't forget your thick gloves though.

  18. Great reply.I get the efficiency bit. Like all tree climbing scenarios, safety, wether it be anchor point,branch loading,rescue etc has to be factored into as you say Reg. This is an important thread i believe and has been on my mind all day.

  20. What a peaceful place the top of that tree will be....just the sound of fibres tearing and the rip of the Silky....E-power and Elbow grease....that's my favourite combo these days...Save the petrol for the timber.Great job!
