    ok so because i have had 2 stupid accidents i am now stereo typed as being unsafe. never judge a book by its cover folks. i have been shooting for years. you guy seem to forget im not a silly wee boy, im quite the opposite. for my age i am quite mature and grown up,my age being 23, i am also a parent so i have no option but to be a bit more mature and grown up
  2. any word on this lad guys ? im in the process of trying to rase some cash to donate, its kinda hard being a student with heaps of debt and a son lol but i will find a way to help

    i also use fire arms and shotguns, everyone is ranting and raving about them but the chainsaw is just as deadly but without the range

    you would think there would b some sort of statistics like, chainsaws are just as dangerous as cars they just dont make as much devistation when is goes wrong ???
  6. it was work experience tho so richard wanted to give me a tase of everything, not learn it in any gr8 depth as i will do that at college

    im sure everyone gets excited about using a big saw for the first time lol i dont get over excited tho, always thinking about safety and how to do the task in hand rather than thinkin whoa this is a big saw lets go cut everythinginto tiny pieces and hope for the best safety wise lol no offence taken m8 i no im a bit accident prone at time but its always with the daft jobs with no danger lol
  9. the second accident would have happened to who ever went for the branch like, was just a week branch. was ash that i was snedding, the branch must have been stuck underneath the spageti of the rest. its always daft jobs wen it happens lol but i just get on with it. i am trying to take more care tho

    fair point bud, the 66 made me nervous with the big bar, wasnt use to the balance etc. i dont want 2 end up as a statistic eather but i have had some sound advice from wrk exp and hopefully i stand in good stead to being a safe and sound operator. i generally have a level head aswell so that kinda helps

  12. well i went the whole of te second week without any real injurys except a branch cutting my lip lol, onc again i had my helmet etc on and my misfortune meant the branch came behind the visor lol. however the guy i was on my work exp with gave me the best advice i have ever had and thats to slow down and think more. its the first time ive been told to slow down at work, usually (construction) the foreman is telling me and everyone else to work harder n hurry up lol
  13. dont hit your face off the chipper chute lol it hurts. slow down and take note of whats going on around you. its the best piece of advice ive had in a long time

    i love it, the power is amazing, i would like 2 have a go of the 88 with a small bar like, it must be imense. i do like the 66 tho would b handy if it was lighter but hey we dont get muscles by complaining about wieght

    this is big bob, a stihl 066 with i think its eather a 30 or 36 inch bar. unfortunatly i didnt get to fell with this beast but i did a wee bit of cutting with it. did a lil bit of cutting with an 18 inch bar on aswell ive never seen a saw cut like that before lol.
  16. we have the clinometer a lazer and some gun type thing at college but the lazer is by far the most acurate
  17. theres no tresspassing law in scotland, its all down 2 using the green cross code, picking up dog dirt n closing gaes behind u n that. legally you can go pretty much anywhere in scotland n nobody can say anything as long as you dont make a mess. i cant see many people up here complaining about people climbing like
  18. ive not been on holiday since i was in primary 7 so thats about 12 years ago lol
  19. ye but am a big kid lol so il prob play with it, just like ive played with the saw
  20. im a skinny bugger, there a sng fit round my legs bt with the waist being elasicated there not such a gr8 fit. the belt is more there for my first aid kit but it helps alot lol
  21. ha ha axe men is so wrong but its that wrong it amuses me and im getting addicted to it for the giggles ha

  23. and he aint got an 088 with a 48inch bar for snedding eather lol ad the crazy tin hat
  24. well i baught my son his first saw the other day (toy stihl 1) hes only 14 mnth but i couldnt resist hes already worked out how to pull the cord he he wont b long b4 he works out how 2 rev er up
