  11. imo huskys cut so much nicer and seem more nimble but you do need to look after them. the only exeption is the ms200t, the 338xpt isnt a bad saw, the stihl is just really good. pete

  14. coleman 442 stove:001_cool: runs on petrol and white gas (glorified petrol) has a built in tank and is pretty compact with fold out legs. really quick but can be turned down low so you can simmer or fry without burning everything. tbh there is no point of getting a multifuel stove unless your going to other countrys where fuel may me an issue. i think they cost around £50 new but i got mine off ebay seccond hand for £15:D pete
  15. just found this at honey brothers Yale XTC-12 Climbing Rope just wondering if anybody has used it? good for someone on a budget? thanks pete

im doing mine soon too:) i was told to get the highest anchor point possable when doing branch walks pete
  20. the strap on mine is made of thin webbing (much thinner than ropes) with a rope cover. the cover would stop a silky but there is gaps at the edges. also the cover isnt fixed and the ring keeps on catching the sides and pulls the cover back. pete
  21. hi guys. just want your opinion on these harnesses. i usualy climb in a komet dragonfly which i like exept for the sliding strap. its so thin! and i just cant seem to trust it:( i can see myself catching my silky on it and falling. also it sometimes digs into my hips. im thinking of trying a weaver because it looks so well made. aparently people seem to either love them, some hate them. what do you think of them? thanks pete
  22. or if your a realy poor student like me you can use a bow saw:blushing: pete
