    Jokes???

  2. You're on fire this week mate.
  3. It matters I think, because it has an adverse affect on the whole Arbtalk site. It's a taint that brings the tone of the place down.
  4. And yet, a war crime is still a war crime, regardless of what the other side has done. I'll try another angle, and phrase it differently; war crimes are measured in absolute terms, not relative terms. Does that resonate at all, anywhere? Here is a very very small piece of paper, and a very very small pencil; please list for us the things that do not make your piss boil. I've only ever seen you vent your feelings of indignation, rage and hatred. Never anything positive or uplifting. Why is that?
  5. "Supposed UK war crimes"? Which of those listed in the article do you believe to not actually be so? Or were you just talking hypothetically again? No, I generally did not work that out. To my mind a war crime is a war crime, regardless of where it was committed, the perpetrators place of birth or indeed the observers place of birth. I'm pretty sure stuff like this is normally measured objectively, rather than subjectively.

  8. Thinking on this a bit more. Is it a small tree, a sampling? If so the chilli idea could probably work. In the form of a semi hardening paste though. Something like flour and water or maybe wallpaper paste. With a load of chilli powder or flakes mixed in. You could then apply it to the effected branches in a thick layer and then it should stay there for a number of days, even if it rains. (As long as it had time to harden first). If you buy the chilli in bulk, a 500g, or 1kg bag say, it'll be quite cheap. Much more so than Tabasco.
  9. No, I would say it will not damage the tree. On the other hand, it probably won't deter the squirrels for long either unfortunately. Most of it will be washed off as soon as it rains. I feel your frustration: squirrels are an absolute menace, to put it politely. What's more, Sycamore is one of their favourite trees to attack in this way. Aside from a more heavy handed solution, I'm not sure what else to suggest to help here.
  10. Probably makes it smell slightly more pleasant too. What's the function of the apple and molasses exactly? Presumably the sugar is the active ingredient. The seaweed fertiliser that I use smells good enough to eat, I have to refrain from trying a teaspoon, like it's got molasses or something similar in it as well.

  12. Why? Do you need to know his employment status as well?
  13. Can this really be true?
  14. That sounds really scary. If you're prone to believing stuff like that. I'd say it's the latter though, but I'm biased I spose. A lot of world class athletes are mixed race too.
  15. Best not to mention Conspiracy Theories now, people get all excited. That's a new one though, the great replacement theory. What happens when you get replaced, where do you go then? I hope I get to vet my replacement first.
  16. Alot of the flights at that time were from India, so mostly Hindu rather than Muslim presumably. So that was obviously OK, (nevermind about importing Covid). From what I remember Boris was in the final throws of fcking up Brexit then, so he was desperate to secure trade deals. India being top of the list. I think I remember that we were still accepting flights from there long after those from all other countries had been banned. Though I could just be talking hypothetically as well.

  19. Not a bad idea. There was a guy at the APF a few years ago with a stand demoing old cross cut saws and how to set and sharpen them. On a 5" or 6" log he was only taking a few seconds more than a chainsaw. It was damn impressive. I had a go, it felt as good or maybe better than a big Silky.
  20. More BS for his little blind mice to nibble on, hopefully. God help us if it ever comes to pass, and I'm not even in the slightest bit religious!

  23. That depends entirely on you and the job at hand. Waist height is ideal really so you probably wouldn't need a harness. Unless you're going to have to do it for prolonged periods, i.e. hours or days on end. They can also save your shoulders sometimes if you're doing high cutting. As mentioned above, they do get in the way though so I wouldn't bother unless you need to. Also, go for a proper chest type harness, not just a shoulder strap, otherwise you'll still end up with knackered shoulders!
  24. Getting boring now. Wordle 1,094 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
