  1. Ginger!
  2. Pork rib and green bean stew here this evening, with some extravagant beers.
  3. Heathen! Wine is wine though at the end of the day, regardless of how it's served. That chicken looks like it was gonna be good.
  4. This evenings tipple. This is about the upper limit of a beer for me. It's nice, but sod all Earl Grey that I can detect.
  5. And there lies the inconvenient truth. Normally overlooked. I'll stand to be corrected on this, if anyone fancies digging some numbers out, but I'd hazard a guess that the old vast majority ve of Those Muslims in the UK, doing all the crime, peterfiling and benefit grabbing are actually second or third generation. Their parents and grandparents having entered the country legally, and probably even been invited by the Great British Government. Just my hunch though, I'd be interested to see some figures if anyone can be bothered.
  6. I agree with that last sentiment at least. <<Generalisation alert!>> In my experience Africans, (indigenous at least), are the most polite, helpful, kind, generous, sociable of all people. Indians similarly, plus hardworking. In terms of hardworking, no nationality/race outperforms the Chinese, but they work too hard.
  7. That's always part and parcel of his efforts I think.
  8. Thoughts on Banksy's latest theme. Any speculations here? What's he on about; the far right riots, Israel/Gaza, the environment or just simply a lover of animals? What's behind Banksy's urban jungle? WWW.BBC.CO.UK Banksy has unveiled a new animal artwork every day in London - but does anyone know what they mean?
  9. Wordle 1,147 4/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  10. She must be the greatest ever advert for NOT having cosmetic surgery.
  11. Lovely.

    Jokes???

  13. I'd love to but they're not what they once were now. I think they're mainly just a sales showroom, maybe with some assembly of foreign made components. Not heavy engineering like they used to be.
  14. I only got one week, sometime around GCSEs. 🤨 I did get to do it in the drawing office of a well known band saw manufacturer though. Stenner bandsaws. That was cool.
  15. Wordle 1,146 5/6 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 That was a bit _____
  16. Ditto. This place is about the extent of my social media consumption. I do occasionally check LinkedIn but it's pretty boring as its just a load of people advertising jobs and other people showing off about new jobs or work achievements. I did ask old ve about why it is that he sees all this other risqué stuff, but he was obviously too busy to answer. Thinking cynically: it's just another profit driven platform with an algorithm serving people up whatever it is that they want to see. With radicalisation being an inevitable side effect for some.
  17. He's got some swell views has Robert V. Another throbber methinks. There's a theme emerging here.
  18. I love mackerel, any which way it's served. Not sure I could eat 978kg of it though.
  19. So this was on the wireless earlier, very timely. One of subjects was the initial source of the lies about the Southport attacker being a Muslim immigrant with an Arabic name. The Times has done an investigation and tracked it down to a middle aged mother of three from Cheshire. Very comfortably off, living in £1.5M house. Not what you'd expect maybe. She was already quite well known in the anti-lockdown, anti-net zero, (Climate change denier), space though. Not such a surprise. Those two were her bread and butter apparently. The initial claim was then jumped on by all the bedroom dwellers and spread around like wildfire on social media, where it was picked up by all the wrong people. And here we now are. Ain't social media great?! The Media Show - Sun Editor Victoria Newton - BBC Sounds WWW.BBC.CO.UK How the paper approached its reporting on Huw Edwards. Have a listen @Johnsond It starts at about 10 mins in. You might be interested to hear about the provenance of that "information going around" that you saw at the start of all this, that got you all worked up into this current frenzy. This is the story in The Times, I've not read it though as it's behind a payroll. Maybe you can. https://www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/article/mother-of-three-sparked-havoc-with-false-claim-about-southport-suspect-bd6kkzgpn
  20. Not forgetting Musk. What the hell is he playing at? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cze5gd1jzkeo
  21. Wordle 1,145 4/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  22. Rissoto this evening. Chicken liver and herb. Dodgy photos but was very good. Presentation isn't a priority .
