  1. I get your points, but I was more thinking from the perspective of flavour rather than hygiene. The few times I've had raw fish, sushi/sashimi, I've been underwhelmed. It was ok, but I was thinking all the while, "I wish it had been cooked just a little, it doesn't taste of much". Similar with raw meat. Not at all impressed with raw oysters either, but cooked they were really rather good. For me the tastiest bit of a steak is around the outside where it's browned and caramelised. I must admit I've never tried raw bacon but I assumed it would be a similar deal. The comparison with prosciutto does make it sound slightly more tempting, but not enough.
  2. I have just one question. Why? Why not cook the bacon?
  3. I'd always choose Dill or Cumin or any of their cousins instead of mouse droppings.
  4. I don't really get the Nigella vibe. There's packet in the cupboard that I've not used in years. They don't seem to have any sort of discernible flavour.

    Jokes???

That made me snort. Like a Pig.
  6. Depressing. My lad has hardly ever seen a butterfly. Lets just hope Labour can honour their promise on this. I don't see why we need all that sugar beet anyway.
  7. I'm not sure that it worked in AHPPs case.
  8. I reckon Nigella, (also called Black Onion seeds it seems, confusingly). They've got that strange angular shape. Black Mustard seeds are little round balls.
  9. Was he a Cowboy? I thought only they were hardcore enough to smoke Marlboro Reds!

  11. Enough already! It has got me recalling other dance tracks from the same era though.
  12. I just remember that Mu Mu Land lyric. Cheers for that Peds, it's going round and in my head now!
  13. Yeah, garlic has got to be an integral part for me.
  14. Wordle 1,186 4/6 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Grrr - that's not a proper English word. Aussie maybe.
  15. Cucumber is more filling.
  16. That's harsh, I'd struggle with that. Bread on crudités is an acceptable second best. Or baked potato.
  17. Hummus.
  18. I guess actions like this are why Mossad has the reputation of being one of, if not the, most sophisticated Intelligence Services in the world.
  19. Did you see somewhere that they actually packed them with explosives? I think Mossad probably did something cleverer than that, and just harnessed the latent energy within the pagers. By using some kind of IT trickery, Malware or something, to cause the pager batteries to overheat and then explode. That's how I read it anyway. Hard to believe that they'd be able to obtain 1200 of them, to insert the explosive, without Hezbollah noticing.
  20. No, it's not as unique as a snowflake, but it's more unique than a pebble. 😜
  21. As ephemeral as a drip of water...........

    Jokes???

  23. Well, from a bystanders point of view it looks like a final push to get yourself over the line. Before AHPP has to generously make a substantial contribution to get this thread closed down. 2211 posts, full of rancour and prejudice. To what end though? What outcome could you possibly be hoping to achieve, other than to create division between arbtalkers? You're not changing anything with the incessant spamming.
  24. Exactly. Plus a bit of glyphosate, or similar, to stop it coming back, which it will inevitably if left to its own devices after being cut down.
